Since the President may eventually have to exercise his authority as given under the 14th Amendment, and, since he will no doubt be branded a tyrant for doing so, perhaps we should all be posting this on twatter in anticipation…
If you walk across your own lawn does that make you a trespasser?
The 14th Amendment is part of the United States Constitution and bears equal weight as the originally written Constitution. The President of the United States, when exercising his authority as given under the 14th Amendment, is no more a tyrant than you are a trespasser by walking across your lawn.
