If the news reports of RBG's "last wish" are true, then she clearly had a fundamental misunderstanding of her role on the Supreme Court.

RBG didn't own her Supreme Court seat, but she merely had the privilege of serving on the Supreme Court for 27 years.

RBG had no business telling the co-equal branches of government how or when her now vacant Supreme Court seat should be filled.
