African members have been pushing to replace the British monarchy as the head with a rotational type leadership similar to EU and as closing the final chapter of the post-colonial era. I am sure there is some scheme in there for grifting as well, but if they vote to make it a rotational leadership position it will have been wrested from the monarchy permanently.
