Former Valdosta Scout leaders arrested on child porn charges
VALDOSTA – Law enforcement agencies investigating a Valdosta couple criminally indicted this week for a multitude of child pornography production charges have opened two hotlines for concerned citizens to report potential crimes, United States Attorney for the Middle District of Georgia Charles Peeler said.
Jayson E. Wright, 34, and Kara E. Wright, 31, both of Valdosta, were indicted by a federal grand jury in Macon on Wednesday. Jayson Wright is charged with six counts of production of child pornography; Kara Wright is charged with three counts of production of child pornography.
The defendants were originally arrested on state warrants from Lowndes County, followed by a federal criminal complaint filed in the Middle District of Georgia. They are in the custody of the U.S. Marshals and were arraigned before Judge Jason B. Libby in the Southern District of Texas on Thursday. The defendants waived their identity hearing and reserved their detention hearing upon their return to Georgia. They remain in the custody of the U.S. Marshals, and it is unknown at this time when they will be transferred to Georgia

Arrested Al Qaeda men planned to travel to Kashmir to deliver weapons
The revelations came as the NIA busted the inter-state terror module after it carried out searches at multiple locations in Murshidabad and Ernakulum. The National Investigation Agency (NIA) arrested nine Al Qaeda terrorists — three from Kerala and six from West Bengal.
The Qaeda men have been identified as Murshid Hassan, Yakoob Bishwas and Morshraf Hussien, all three residents of Ernakulam. They were picked up from Kochi. While Najmus Sakib, Abu Sufiyan, Mainul Mondal, Leu Yean Ahmed, Al Mamun Kamal and Atitur Rehman, were all residents of Murshidabad.
These men were from diverse walks of life from second year graduate student to farmer, tailor, cook, electrician, computer science graduate.
