I understand there was some value in letting the entire country see the lunatic lengths to which the Democrats would go to hold onto power on the Courts.
I think I read the Kavanaugh hearings played a big role in causing people like @BrandonStraka
to move away from the Left.

Of course, Amy Cony Barrett or any other woman that the President nominates to the Court will be married, and so Democrats will just go furiously digging through the husband's past, looking for someone, ANYONE who was ever alone in a room with him that will accuse him.
I would not be surprised if, after seeing what they did to Kavanaugh, several females Trump offers the nomination to turn it down.
That was the point of the Democrats strategy.
