Report Finds Nearly 350,000 Dead Voters Still on Rolls, Double-Voters ‘Casting Multiple Ballots’

A report from the Public Interest Legal Foundation (PILF) published this week found nearly 350,000 dead voters still eligible to cast a ballot and a significant number of double votes from the last two general elections.

Organization President and General Counsel J. Christian Adams told The Kyle Olson Show people are getting registered to vote multiple times, and secretaries of state such as Michigan’s Jocelyn Benson are not doing anything about it.

According to the report, titled, “Critical Condition: American Voter Rolls Filled with Errors, Dead Voters, and Duplicate Registrations,” 349,773 “deceased registrants” have been found on rolls in 41 states. Fifty-one percent of those are in New York, California, and Texas, as well as the battleground states of Michigan and Florida.

The report found that 43,760 “duplicate registrants appear to have cast second votes” from the same address in 2016, while 37,889 cast ballots in 2018.

In Michigan, where Donald Trump won in 2016 by 10,704 votes, PILF found there were 34,225 deceased voters still on the rolls and a combined 13,597 double voters in the 2016 and 2018 elections.

Some of those voters who are registered multiple times “are casting multiple ballots,” Adams said.

“Michigan voter rolls are a mess and that’s exactly why Michigan should not be doing mail balloting until they clean up their act,” he told The Kyle Olson Show.

Adams contended cleaning up the “mess” would be as simple as sorting the list by address and “see who’s all crammed into one house.”

In August, as many as 20,000 unverified ballots were fed through machines in Detroit during absentee vote counting. Bob Cushman, an eyewitness to it all, recounted his observations on a recent episode of The Kyle Olson Show:

Adams argued that sort of incident will not be stopped “because that’s the kind of thing Jocelyn Benson likes to see.”

He said that was how “elections got cooked” around the country. Workers would shove absentee ballots “into the counter before they could be verified.”

The danger comes, he said, in determining a winner and potentially reversing that declaration days later.

Adams said that “instills skepticism” among citizens and “is destabilizing.”

France says no ‘tangible’ evidence supporting US allegation of secret Hezbollah explosive stores

France has pushed back against Washington’s assertion that Hezbollah has stockpiles of ammonium nitrate stashed around Europe, stating there’s no indication of such stores existing in its own country.

“To our knowledge, there is nothing tangible to confirm such an allegation in France today,” French Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Agnes von der Muhll said in response to the US State Department’s alarming claim.

The spokeswoman stressed that France would not allow such “illegal activity” on its territory and that it would respond to such actions with “the greatest firmness.”

On Thursday, Nathan Sales, the US State Department’s coordinator for counterterrorism, alleged that Lebanon’s Hezbollah had caches of dangerous chemicals in France, Spain, Italy, and other European states. He said that the chemicals had been smuggled into the country hidden in first-aid kits, but did not provide evidence backing his incendiary accusation.

ActBlue Raises Nearly $31 Million Following Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s Death

Left-wing ActBlue raised a record amount of money from Friday evening until Saturday morning following the death of Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg.

According to ActBlue’s website, which keeps track of donations, Democrat candidates and causes raised nearly $31 million over a 12-hour period, which spanned from 9:00 p.m. Eastern to 9:00 a.m. Eastern on Saturday.

The online web tracker for donations was estimating $100,000 per minute for some time in the hours following Ginsburg’s death but slowly trickled. In the hour after Ginsburg’s death was made public, the group reported at least $1.5 million in donations:

Once Senate Majority Leader Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-KY) announced a swift replacement process for Ginsburg’s seat, donations began pouring in more quickly.

“President Trump’s nominee will receive a vote on the floor of the United States Senate,” McConnell said in a statement Friday evening.

Joe Biden’s presidential campaign also appeared to use Ginsburg’s death to raise money ahead of the election in November via an email that vice presidential candidate Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA) sent. The email also reiterated that “voters should pick a President, and that President should select a successor” for Ginsburg.

“We cannot let them win this fight. Millions of Americans are counting on us to stand up, right now, and fight like hell to protect the Supreme Court — not just for today, but for generations to come,” the email stated. “The work of holding Senate Republicans accountable to the standard they set in 2016 starts now. To Joe and me, it is clear: The voters should pick a President, and that President should select a successor to Justice Ginsburg.”

“But we know, like you do, that the most important thing we can do to protect that legacy is not just winning the White House, but electing a Senate majority that will confirm fair-minded Supreme Court appointees who believe in equal justice under the law,” Harris continued in the email.

“That’s why I’m asking you today to fight alongside me and to make sure that when the time comes, President Joe Biden can appoint a justice to Justice Ginsburg’s seat who will uphold the rule of law and fight for all of us,” the email added.

Today's story comes out of Canada, where a 20 year old man is facing charges for sleeping behind the wheel of a Tesla that was doing more than 90 mph.

The RCMP was called when witnesses saw "a speeding Tesla electric car heading south of Edmonton, and what appeared to be no one behind the wheel," according to NBC.

Both front seats were fully reclined and both the driver and the passenger appeared to be asleep, according to the report. The car was doing about 87mph on a roadway with a posted speed limit of about 68mph.

Lindsey Graham Says He Backs Trump in ‘Any Effort to Move Forward’ on RBG Vacancy

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) said that he is supporting President Donald Trump “in any effort to move forward” concerning the vacancy left by the late Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg. As chair of the Senate Judiciary Committee, Graham would preside over confirmation hearings for the president’s choice to fill Ginsburg’s seat.

Graham, who posted his comments to Twitter on Saturday afternoon, said that his decision to back President Trump was driven by two factors — former Sen. Harry Reid’s (D-NV) judicial confirmation rule changes and the Democrats’ ultimately unsuccessful attempt to derail Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanugh’s nomination to the high court.

Graham’s statement appears to put to rest Republican fears that he might favor leaving Ginsburg’s seat vacant until after the November election.

Following the death of Justice Antonin Scalia in 2016, the South Carolina senator said, “Let’s let the next president, whoever it might be, make that nomination.”

He repeated the sentiment in a 2018 interview with The Atlantic magazine. “If an opening comes in the last year of President Trump’s term, and the primary process has started, we’ll wait till the next election.”

But the Kavanaugh hearings clearly served as a game changer. Earlier this year, the senator reportedly said: “After [Brett] Kavanaugh, the rules have changed as far as I’m concerned.”

In a separate tweet on Saturday, Graham directed reporters to his recent statements concerning possible Supreme Court vacancies. In one interview, he said the Senate would work to confirm a Supreme Court nominee this year if a vacancy arose because circumstances differ from 2016, when Republicans blocked then-President Obama’s nomination of Merrick Garland.

During the battle over Garland, the White House and the Senate were held by different political parties. Now, Republicans hold both the White House and the Senate.

“If you look into the history of the country, there had not been an occasion where somebody was confirmed in a presidential election year after primary started when you had divided government,” Graham said in an interview on Full Court Press with Greta Van Susteren.

McConnell (R-KY) announced shortly after news broke late Friday of Ginsburg’s death that he would ensure President Trump’s choice to succeed the late justice will get a vote. “President Trump’s nominee will receive a vote on the floor of the United States Senate,” McConnell said in a statement.

TikTok, WeChat Downloads Rise Ahead of Sunday's Ban

On 18 September, the US Department of Commerce prohibited US citizens from downloading the Chinese-owned apps TikTok and WeChat starting on Sunday, 20 September.

TikTok and WeChat downloads in the US soared on Friday, with TikTok downloads increasing by 12% to 247,000 and WeChat downloads by 150% to 10,000 in comparison with the previous day, mobile apps tracker Sensor Tower data shows.

Mobile phone users who have TikTok or WeChat already installed on their devices can use the apps after the ban comes into force. However, they will be unable to update them with security patches which could lead to glitches within the app in the future.

Previously, US President Donald Trump issued a 12 November deadline for the Chinese apps to find a US partner or be prohibited in the country amid allegations that their poor data security would enable the Chinese government to steal information on US users of the app.

China's Commerce Ministry has criticized the Trump administration ban and is "urging the US to abandon bullying, immediately stop wrongdoing", saying that, otherwise, "China will take necessary measures to resolutely safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of Chinese companies".

Projectile Hits Saudi Arabia's Jazan, Injuring Five People, State Media Reports

Recently, Yemen's Houthi rebel movement has intensified missile and drone attacks conducted against the Kingdom, in violation of the UN-brokered peace.

A military projectile that fell in Jazan, southwest Saudi Arabi, has left at least five people injured, the Saudi state news agency said on late Saturday.

An alleged photo of the fallen missile has been posted online. Media said, citing the spokesman for the Civil Defence in Jazan, Colonel Muhammad Al-Ghamdi, that the attack was conducted by the Houthis.

Those injured were transported to the hospital in stable condition.

Amazon Keeps Spreading Across America, Plans 1000 Warehouses In Suburban Neighborhoods

Amazon is doubling down on ultra-fast deliveries with plans to open 1,000 small delivery centers across U.S. metro areas and suburbs, according to Bloomberg. The expansion will allow the e-commerce giant to take on Target and Walmart.

"The facilities, which will eventually number about 1,500, will bring products closer to customers, making shopping online about as fast as a quick run to the store. It will also help the world's largest e-commerce company take on a resurgent Walmart."

The small warehouses would support Amazon's efforts to provide customers with two-day and or one-day deliveries for specific items, even if a demand surge is seen. The primary strategy here is to compete with Walmart and Target's same-day delivery schemes.

Bloomberg explains the strategy behind additional micro warehouses:

"Historically, Amazon gnawed away at brick-and-mortar rivals from warehouses on the exurban fringes, where it operated mostly out of sight and out of mind. That worked fine when the company was promising to get products to customers in two days. Now Walmart and Target Corp. are using their thousands of stores to beat Amazon at its own game by offering same-day delivery of online orders. Walmart also recently started is own Prime-style subscription service, upping the competitive ante."

Sydney house party costs guests $28,000 for breaching COVID-19 restrictions

Police have issued 28 fines, each worth $1000, after a house party allegedly breached coronavirus restrictions in Sydney's east overnight.

About 1.20am police were called to a home on Oxford Street in Bondi Junction, following noise complaints and reports of a party.

After speaking with a 26-year-old man, police found he was one of four occupants and there were 24 guests inside, exceeding the 20-person limit for private gatherings in NSW.

Guests were told to leave the premises and each was fined the maximum penalty for the breach.

The Chinese-run construction sites that have emerged across the Ethiopian landscape over the past two decades have given rise to a pidgin—a contact language that facilitates communication between Chinese managers and the Ethiopian labourers under their direction. By unravelling the nature of this pidgin, including its lexicon, syntax, and semantics, this article discusses the power dynamics in Ethiopian–Chinese encounters through the lens of language. A prototypical contact language at first blush, the pidgin spoken on Chinese road projects in Ethiopia is different from pidgins that emerged in colonial Africa. Its structure and use reveal that power relations between Chinese management and Ethiopian rank and file are less asymmetrical than often portrayed.
