Exactly. The FBI/DOJ must have been been guilty of parallel construction - creating or tying in events after the fact to "justify" their behavior and their actions. The question is, how do WE find that out?
Possibly going back to the leaks to the NYT and other newspapers and creating a schedule of the timetables of when stories were released. Also the Clinton campaign and what Hillary was accusing DJT, like the Russian connection.

When did Susan Rice start all the unmasking of Flynn, etc.? Were they also unmasking other GOP contenders? This may be key.
Obviously they were listening to conversations and then went looking for ways to tie in that information they learned to "Russians" and put those people in their path. The "plants" like Manafort, Papadopolous ( or whatever his name is), etc
