Doing Christian outreach.
Developed lots of friendships.
Some are naturalized Chinese-Americans and still friends.
Loyal patriots here in the USA.
Some are still Chinese citizens.
Some are back in China now.
I took many short-term trips to Mainland China.
All across China.
I made friends with Mainland Chinese many places.
I visited rural places where they had never seen a westerner before.
Yet they were house-church Christians.
Their legacy was Hudson Taylor's: China Inland Mission from over 100 years ago.
I made and Have Many connections with the house church in Mainland China.
From 2005 on I participated in a collaboration with the Christian house-church in multiple places in the Mainland.
I eventually moved to Mainland China and lived there, studying language, developing biz contacts & working with some house-church groups.
Before I moved to China I had extensive and personal interaction with Chinese visiting scholars & students.
I can tell you from personal experience, ALL local directors of the various [CI] Confucius Institutes are members of the Chinese Communist Party.
The [CI] Director is a party member handled by the nearest Chinese Embassy or Consulate Party Political officer.
The student president of the local [CSSA] Chinese Students and Scholars Association is also handled by the nearest Chinese Embassy or Consulate Party Political officer.
