Omaha Bar Owner Charged For Killing Rioter Who Attacked Him and His Business Has Committed Suicide

A Nebraska bar owner that killed a rioter who was attacking him and his business has committed suicide, a friend has confirmed to The Gateway Pundit.

The bar owner, Jake Gardner, was indicted by a grand jury on counts of manslaughter, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, attempted first-degree assault and making terrorist threats after intense political pressure was placed on the city.

On May 30, the 38-year-old confronted a group of rioters outside one of the bars he owns in Omaha and was knocked to the ground.

“From there, he fired two warning shots and tried to get to his feet, prosecutors said. As he did, Gardner got into a fight with one man, James Scurlock, 22. The two scuffled before Gardner fired a shot that killed him,” Yahoo News reports.

The rioter who was shot had repeatedly broken windows at the bar and other businesses in the area.

The incident prompted a wave of further “protests,” particularly after Donald Kleine, the Douglas County attorney, determined that Gardner had acted in self-defense and declined to bring charges.

“A week later, Kleine said in a statement that after hearing from local residents and elected officials he would welcome an outside review ‘in this rare instance.’ He added, ‘I made a decision and I would not change that decision based on everything I know today,'” the Yahoo report explains.

Douglas County District Court Judge Shelly Stratman then appointed a special council, Fredrick Franklin, an assistant U.S. attorney in the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Omaha, to handle the case, though they said they expected the same outcome.

Instead, Franklin bowed to pressure and dug up evidence and came up with charges.

“The manslaughter charge, he said, is related to Scurlock’s death; the attempted assault charge resulted from the second warning shot Gardner fired; the charge of making terrorist threats is linked to ‘a verbal confrontation’ that Gardner had with Scurlock, Franklin continued,” Yahoo reports.

On Friday, a judge signed off on an arrest warrant for Gardner. A GoFundMe fundraiser to raise money for his defense was deleted by the platform.

Gardner was allegedly planning to turn himself in to the police on Monday.

GOP Senator Lamar Alexander Says He Supports Trump, Senate Effort to Fill Supreme Court Vacancy – Blasts Democrats

Senator Lamar Alexander (R-TN) released a statement on the Supreme Court nomination on Sunday.

Alexander, who is known for being a RINO, actually stood with President Trump and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell and said he will vote on Trump’s SCOTUS nominee.

“No one should be surprised that a Republican Senate majority would vote on a Republican President’s Supreme Court nomination, even during a presidential election year,” Senator Alexander said.

He added, “The Constitution gives senators the power to do it. The voters who elected them expect it. Going back to George Washington, the Senate has confirmed many nominees to the Supreme Court during a presidential election year. It has refused to confirm several when the President and Senate majority were of different parties.”

Sen. Alexander blasted the Democrats: “Senator McConnell is only doing what Democrat leaders have said they would do if the shoe were on the other foot.”

“I have voted to confirm Justices Roberts, Alito, Sotomayor, Gorsuch and Kavanaugh based up their intelligence, character and temperament. I will apply the same standard when I consider President Trump’s nomination to replace Justice Ginsburg,” Alexander said.

The Democrat-media complex exploded on Friday in response to justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s passing.

Schumer, Feinstein, Kamala Harris, Joe Biden and the entire media apparatus attacked President Trump and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell for moving forward with a SCOTUS nomination.

McConnell made it clear he will hold a vote on President Trump’s Supreme Court nomination.

President Trump on Saturday said he expects to announce his SCOTUS nominee this coming week and asserted that it will ‘most likely be a woman.’

Sources told Fox News host Jesse Watters this weekend that Amy Cony Barrett is President Trump’s top choice.

Maxine Waters: Democrats Must ‘Fight, Fight, Fight’ to Stop Trump from Getting SCOTUS Pick

Representative Maxine Waters (D-CA) urged Democrats to “fight, fight, fight” to stop President Donald Trump’s nominee from replacing the late Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg during a Saturday appearance on MSNBC.

Waters said, “I think McConnell is McConnell. He’s attempting to do what he has shown us he is willing to do no matter what, whether it makes good sense, whether it’s right, whether it’s wrong. He’s carrying out the wishes of the president. He’s held up, you know, legislation that we have sent to him. He has not been the kind of leader that cares about fairness at all. So I fully expect that he would act this way. He sent a note out to the other Republicans in the Senate telling them to hold their water, don’t do anything, that there was going to be a vote on the floor. So that note is basically saying don’t you dare interact with any of the Democrats. Don’t you dare attempt to make any commitments. Don’t you dare think about your re-election. This is about the president of the United States having control over the United States Supreme Court for sure. This certainly will sign that and seal it that he will be in control at least for the time that he is the president of the United States.”

She added, “So I am hoping that certainly, they would be more respectful, he would be more respectful, and he wouldn’t act in this manner. However, it is incumbent upon Democrats to fight, fight, fight to try and stop him from having this appointment. Of course, we look forward to him not being the president of the United States. But if the judiciary has his stamp on it, it will make it difficult for our Democratic president that we expect to win this election to be successful when the cases go to the Supreme Court dealing with some of the most important issues of our time.”

Undercover Florida Detectives Arrest 11 Men in “Operation Park Cleanup”

HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. — The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office recently completed an undercover operation that resulted in the arrest of 11 men for exhibiting or soliciting lewd acts in public parks.

Dubbed “Operation Park Cleanup,” the arrests were made in two Hillsborough County parks: Sun City Heritage Park, located at 3030 S U.S. Highway 41 in Ruskin, and the Sydney Dover Conservation Park, located at 536 N Dover Road in Dover. The parks are known to deputies as meeting points where men meet for sex.

The men arrested, who ranged in age from 37 to 76, believed undercover detectives were there to engage in sexual acts with them. In some incidents, those arrested would wait in their parked cars, follow and approach an undercover detective, and then solicit sex from them. Others would wait for undercover detectives on the trails, in broad daylight, before engaging in conversation and later either exhibiting or soliciting lewd acts.

One of the arrestees, Eric Spooner, 43, had recently been released from federal prison and is currently on federal probation for Conspiracy to Distribute Controlled Substances. He was sentenced in 2012. In another incident, Elmer Pratt III, 59, was arrested after exposing his genitals to an undercover detective. All 11 men were arrested within the confines of the two parks.

“The vile acts these men committed were done in the same public places our children go to for outdoor recreation,” said Sheriff Chad Chronister. “I want to commend the work of our undercover detectives during ‘Operation Park Cleanup’ to get these men off of our Hillsborough County streets. Parks are meant for all us to enjoy, and these men made it their personal playground for deviant activity and that will not be tolerated on my watch.”

All of those arrested were charged with Entering/Remaining in Place for Prostitution, Lewdness, or Assignation.

Former Marine and Current Illinois State Trooper Charged in Conspiracy to Steal, Sell, and Ship Government Property

RALEIGH, N.C. – A Yorkville, IL man was arrested on charges of conspiracy, theft of government property, and interstate transportation of stolen goods.

According to court documents, Rafael Montalvo, 31, is a former Individual Material Readiness List (IMRL) Manager aboard Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point, NC, and a current Illinois State Trooper and member of the Illinois National Guard. The conspiracy, alleged to have occurred between March 2018 and the present, is described as having used IMRL managers with access to the avionics equipment to steal from the military installations, and then either ship directly to Montalvo or to persons whom Montalvo directed. Montalvo received payment from the buyer, and paid those who reportedly stole the equipment for him.
