B-18710 | Boeing 747-409F(SCD) | China Airlines Cargo. Guess the crew was tired based on last 24 hours of flying. Flew in to DFW International on leg from Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson and had to do a go around before landing. Was on the ground at DFW for 2.5 hours and now up again headed for Anchorage.

N236KM, a 1984 PIPER PA-46-310P (Piper Malibu Meridian (single-turboprop)).

PF can see track since tail number is visible in news video. Clearly they diverted and did an over-fly of the airport to get visual on conditions there. Likely an uncontrolled field so was a needed step anon imagines. Looks as though he was getting set up for a left downwind approach and never made it back. Sad. PF could dig registration and likely tell you who was onboard. But since authorities are witholding releasing the names of those killed, pending notification of next-of-kin, not going to dig any further at this time. PF wonders what the failure was though. Flight aware actually shows more of the flight track than ADS-B Network does. Looking at FA, it looks like they crashed on final. Looking at the flight track PF wonders if there was a problem with the controls or engine out. If it was engine out then indecision likely killed these people. If so, then there is a lesson for us all to learn from this. In flying, and in life.
