Trump doesn't need the Senate or the flaky Republican Senators to vote for the Supreme Court Justice nomination at all. Under article 2 section 2 the appointment clause. Trump can make a recess nomination after suspending the senate for not doing the will of the people and giving them aid during the pandemic

Anon prediction,

With the pandemic relief bill remaining stagnant in the congress, will we see President Trump suspend both houses or possibly just the senate and use the tools granted to him in the constitution to fill appointments without them till the start of the next congress? Giving Q and the Trump team time to recruit pro-MAGA to the senate?

Only without them until the start of the next congress.

Which would be well played that gives time to vote out the corrupt senators from Alaska and Maine.

Its not a universal power, it only gains him time to get a vacancy filled

Well as I said its only a prediction. We shall see in the end if it was right, partially right, all wrong!

Regardless it could be a back up plan a fail-safe if you will and with the senate on recess most of October, Trump might not even need to suspend the congress.
