had to go to the airport and pick up a buddy that flew in today. While waiting, I was people watching, and then I started counting the number of folks coming out of the airport who were "super maskers", like the one in the meme you posted.
I had to stop at 11 because my buddy came out, but there were almost a dozen people wearing masks and shields, some even gloved - all walking around in the fresh air OUTSIDE the terminal.
Most came out and immediately shucked the masks, a lesser amount wore the mask until they got in their rides - but those 11 folks all geared up made me think of "Stockholm Syndrome". Will they ever be able to lay aside the masks they are so eager to wear? Are they part of the 4-6% or just ignorant?
Don't know, but this was the 14th largest airport in the country…
