The limit is actually 300 lines nothing to do with character count.
See BO update regarding Line Count.
As 8kun doesnt have character counts but line count limits.
On /qr/ was previously 200. is now 300.
Only other way to go over limit would be to exceed the (post file size) by using text which is pretty impossible.
