I don't think he gets it or understands what's really is going on.

 

They're just removing/revising certain 230 protections(not all of it) which keep search engines from being liable for content that they have no control over.

 

Google, Yahoo, Bing are just a gateway(search engine) to websites and this is why section 230 was created in the first place. They are NOT under control of the content that is produced by the websites thus they get protections from lawsuits that may host CP and such. The only thing search engines can do is remove the website from the search engine, not the website itself.

 

Twitter/Facebook/Reddit/ect(a website) for some reason(lobby money) receive these same protections also(even though they host plenty of CP).... In the case of Twitter/Facebook/Reddit/ect they are in control of the content on their website and they can and do delete/manipulate/alter other people's content.

 

Twitter/Facebook/Reddit/ect should not be allowed to have the power to play judge, jury, and executioner all while being protected from liability.

 

the Section 230 stuff are revisions, not an outright abolishment.
