20 Inmates And Accomplices Charged In COVID-19 Unemployment Fraud

Pennsylvania officials charged 20 inmates and outside accomplices in a scheme to fraudulently bilk some $300,000 in COVID-19 unemployment benefits, according to ABC News.

The fraud ring operated across three state prisons, where inmates allegedly collected the personal information of other inmates and distributed them to their accomplices on the outside, who would then apply for pandemic relief funds in their names.

Pennsylvania Attorney General Josh Shapiro said the arrests are linked to at least two existing rings of inmates who were busted in similar COVID-19 related fraud cases.

"After announcing our first round of arrests in these COVID unemployment scams, I promised that there were more to come," said Shapiro. "Today, 20 more individuals have been charged with illegally taking benefits away from hardworking Pennsylvanians who are struggling during this crisis."

The investigation will continue, according to Shapiro. "These arrests are not the end of our investigation, and I'll continue working with my colleagues at the federal level to track down those heading these schemes, along with those who are willfully participating and breaking the law."

The arrests were part of a broader operation, which included a roundup of arrests at state correctional facilities in Centre County, Correctional Institution Benner, and in Schuylkill County at the Mahanoy State Correctional Institution.

The Benner ring included two ringleaders inmate James Neff Zonge and his girlfriend Adele Moore as well as and eight additional inmates.

Moore, a resident of State College, Pennsylvania, and Zonge were accused of helping start the ring. Officials said Moore successfully applied for COVID-19 unemployment benefits on Zonge's behalf and began doing the same for others. Zonge allegedly received about $3,000 from the inmates for his help in filing the claims.

Moore allegedly kept the majority of the money for her own personal use. She also received about $7,000 from inmates for filing the applications and from two of the inmate debit cards that she received for the inmates at her residence. Zonge, meanwhile, netted about $3,000 from inmates for his part in the scheme. -ABC News

The ringleader of the State Correctional Institution Mahanoy scheme was allegedly Wendy Danfora of York, PA, and her inmate boyfriend Markal Munford - who is accused of applying for COVID-19 unemployment benefits, also using inmate names. While Danfora gave a portion of the fraudulently obtained funds to the inmates whose names she used, she kept the majority of the $109,900 in benefits to herself.

FBI Investigated Steele Dossier Source As A Possible Russian Spy Years Before Trump Probe

The FBI opened a counterintelligence investigation on the primary source for dossier author Christopher Steele, and considered obtaining a warrant to wiretap him in 2010, according to a document released Thursday.

The FBI was also aware of the information about the source, identified elsewhere as Igor Danchenko, by December 2016, according to the document.

“This is the most stunning and damning revelation the committee has uncovered,” Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Lindsey Graham said in a statement after releasing an FBI memo about the dossier source.

The document shows that the FBI considered a Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) warrant of Danchenko years before the bureau relied heavily on information that Danchenko had provided Steele, a former British spy, to obtain FISAs against Carter Page.

The information also could increase concerns that Russian disinformation was fed to Steele, a former MI6 officer who investigated the Trump campaign on behalf of the Clinton campaign and DNC. A Justice Department inspector general’s report released Dec. 9 said that the FBI received evidence in January and February 2017 that Russian intelligence officers may have planted disinformation in the dossier.

Footnotes from the IG report say that two Russian intelligence officers knew in July 2016 that Steele was investigating the Trump campaign.

According to the FBI document, Danchenko had contact with suspected Russian intelligence officers in Washington, D.C. in 2005 and 2006.

The document says that the FBI had an investigation into Danchenko open from May 2009 to March 2011, based on an interaction he allegedly had with three employees of an American think tank.

Danchenko worked at the time as a Russia analyst for the Brookings Institution, a prominent liberal foreign policy think tank.

TEXAS: Gregg County Commissioner and Three Others Arrested in Connection to Organized Ballot-Harvesting Scheme During 2018 Democrat Primary

Texas – Gregg County Commissioner Shannon Brown, Marlena Jackson, Charlie Burns, and DeWayne Ward were arrested on charges in connection with an organized ballot harvesting scheme during the 2018 Democrat primary, Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton announced on Thursday.

A $25,000 bond has been set for each person charged.

Elections officials became suspicious after Shannon Brown won the primary in March of 2018 by 5 votes after a recount.

An unusual number of mail-in ballots were cast in the 2018 primary race for precinct 4 commissioner in Gregg County.

According to Gregg County Elections Administrator Kathryn Nealy, 231 out of the 800 mail-in ballots that swung the election, bore the signatures of the five same people who helped voters with their ballots. Furthermore, 1/3 of the voters claimed they had a disability in order to qualify for absentee or mail-in voting.

The vote harvesting scheme worked and Brown actually won!

Under Texas election law, mail-in ballots are strictly reserved for people over the age of 65 or for those who are physically ill and cannot vote in-person.

To increase the pool of ballots needed to swing the race in Brown’s favor, the group targeted young, able-bodied voters to cast ballots by mail by fraudulently claiming the voters were “disabled,” in most cases without the voters’ knowledge or consent. – Ken Paxton said.

In total, the state filed 134 felony charges against the four defendants, including engaging in organized election fraud, illegal voting, fraudulent use of an application for a mail-in ballot, unlawful possession of a mail-in ballot, tampering with a governmental record, and election fraud. Penalties for these offenses range from six months in state jail to 99 years in prison, Paxton’s office announced.

Here is the breakdown of charges via Longview News-Journal:

According to indictments in the case, Brown was charged with 23 felonies:

Engaging in organized election fraud

Seven counts of fraudulent use of mail ballot application enhanced

Burns was charged with eight felonies:

Ward was charged with six felonies:

Four counts of unlawful possession of ballot/ballot envelope enhanced

This is the same ballot-harvesting scheme the Democrats will deploy in key battleground states in order to steal the election from Trump

Democrats and Leftie Attorney Marc Elias Just Stole the Election in North Carolina — And the GOP Did Not Put Up a Fight

As a Republican whenever you hear the words “ballot harvesting” you know you’ve lost the race.

Democrats just stole the 2020 election in North Carolina and Republicans did not even put up a fight.

President Trump may be leading in the polls but it doesn’t matter. It won’t matter when the final votes are counted two weeks after the election..

Democrats passed new rules this week to accept ballots 9 days after the election and allow illegal ballot harvesting.

If you are not willing to fight the Communists you will be ruled by the Communists.

Update from a trusted friend in North Carolina…..

A trusted reader and GOP operative in North Carolina reached out to us today on Democrat officials

Some really fishy business going on in NC over absentee ballots. The Bipartisan Elections Act of 2020, which set election laws for the 2020 election including funding for the State Board of Elections in response to the coronavirus pandemic, passed the North Carolina General Assembly with an overwhelming bipartisan majority of 142-26 in June.

This week, the Democratic Party-controlled N.C. Board of Elections, along with executive branch Democrats and liberal trial lawyers colluded to change those laws at the last minute.

There is plenty of info on this electoral abuse at North State Journal, RedState, and Civitas . The North State Journal article is a good place to start.

Also the press release below from NC Senate leader Phil Berger has information and a timeline.

Basically, it looks like the corrupt liberal lawyer, Marc Elias from Perkins Coie, is leading Democrats in their lawsuits around the country. The Democrats are suing all of the battleground states to change their election laws. Elias was working together with the Democrat NC Attorney General and the Democrat controlled board of elections (BOE).

Lawyers from the Democrat AG’s office and the BOE convinced the two GOP members of the board of elections to sign off on a “settlement” in the case that takes away many of the safeguards to prevent ballot harvesting, including loosening witness signature requirements, having anonymous drop boxes, and extending time to count ballots to 9 days after the election.

The Republican BOE members resigned last night. They say they were misled and information was withheld from them which resulted in them signing off on the agreement since they were told if they didn’t they would lose the case and the terms would be worse.
