There is a treatment for hearing loss and subsequently tinnitus tied up in FDA red tape right now. It is made by a company called Frequency Therapeutics. They have already passed the safety trials and shown efficicacy at restoring higher frequency hearing. It is not a drug you take perpetually, it is a 1 or 2 time injection right into your eardrum that diffuses into the cochlea from the middle ear and stimulates latent stem cells to regenerate.
We need access to this treatment. Vets need it badly especially after the 3M earplug fiasco.
