Democrats to Introduce Bill Limiting Supreme Court Terms to 18 Years

Democrats in the House of Representatives are set to introduce a bill next week that seeks to limit the terms of U.S. Supreme Court justices to 18 years from current lifetime appointments.

The move comes as a method to prevent longtime partisanship from particular appointments after the passing of Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg. According to Reuters, which has looked over the bill, the legislation “would allow every president to nominate two justices per four-year term.”

According to Reuters, the legislation, titled the Supreme Court Term Limits and Regular Appointments Act, will be introduced by Rep. Ro Khanna (D-CA), Rep. Joe Kennedy III (D-MA), and Rep. Don Beyer (D-VA) on Tuesday.

“It would save the country a lot of agony and help lower the temperature over fights for the court that go to the fault lines of cultural issues and is one of the primary things tearing at our social fabric,” said Khanna.

Reuters also noted that the “bill seeks to avoid constitutional concerns by exempting current justices from the 18-year rule. Those appointed under term limits would become ‘senior’ upon retirement and rotate to lower courts.”

“That’s perfectly consistent with their judicial independence and having a lifetime salary and a lifetime appointment,” Khanna said of the bill’s measure.

President Trump is scheduled to announce his nominee for the Supreme Court vacancy on Saturday from the White House at 5:00 p.m. ET.

MORE ELECTION FRAUD: Democrat Officials In Massachusetts DESTROY Over 1 Million Ballots from Senate Primary

Former US Senate candidate Dr. Shiva Ayyadurai, the inventor of Email, accused Massachusetts officials of illegally destroying over 1 million ballots in a US Senate primary race.

This is election fraud. In fact a Massachusetts Elections Attorney confirmed to Dr. Shiva that ballot images, used for counting votes, that must be saved by FEDERAL LAW for 22 months are nowhere to be found.

US School Districts Abandon Online-Curriculum Provider Over 'Racially Insensitive & Inaccurate' Content

As children prepare for online learning to continue being part of their life for at least another 6 months to a year (ultimately, it will depend on when a vaccine can be distributed), embarrassing stories of incompetence by the companies who are running these programs have whipped up a firestorm of controversy in the media.

Complaints about the Acellus Learning Accelerator, the program picked by the Alameda School District in California, and many others around the country, have piled up in local press reports.

Earlier this month, the controversy was sparked by "racist" or "sexist" questions, including one that asked young students what's the proper definition of a "family", before showing several options, including a black single mother, and a traditional white family with a mom and a father.

The answer was 'the white family'. California's liberals were apoplectic, and Alameda's school district immediately severed its relationship with the program's owner. One couple who said they paid the massively inflated home prices in Alameda in part for the schools. The fact that the district is spending money on programs with such obvious flaws is "frankly depressing".

"We bought a home here so our kids could enroll in these schools and to have them roll out something like that," Eckman said. "It's very disappointing."

Now, WSJ is reporting on more examples of the Acellus software's egregious mistakes, including this error: 'that Rosa Parks was arrested because she didn’t sit in the Blacks only section on a bus, instead of the correct answer, which is 'she refused to give up her seat to a white ma'.

Teachers have at times rebelled, telling supervisors that the content simply "isn't suitable" and ceasing to use it in their classes.

Over the past few weeks, Hawaii has emerged as a locus of complaints about the software, as thousands of parents signed a petition condemning the company's content as racist, sexist and low quality. This fall, Acellus, which had previously only been used by some home schooled students in the state, had become the primary remote learning tool for 80k students across the state.

Hundreds of protesters gather outside PM’s residence, vow to keep demonstrating

Dozens also rally outside the Knesset, reportedly throw bags of cow dung at parliament building, shout abuse at Minister David Amsalem

Hundreds of people took part in demonstrations calling for Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s resignation around the country Thursday, as protest leaders vowed to continue to rally within the confines of a tightened national lockdown which will controversially introduce limitations on protests as part of an effort to bring the coronavirus outbreak under control.

Some rallied at highway overpasses, while the largest gathering took place near Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s official residence in Jerusalem.

In a nod to restrictions already in effect, demonstrators in Jerusalem spread out chairs at the scene to maintain social distancing, unlike previous events where protesters were more tightly grouped together, drawing criticism that they were liable to spread the coronavirus.

Under restrictions set to go into effect at 2 p.m. on Friday, people will be prevented from venturing more than one kilometer from their home in order to protest and rallies will be limited to groups of 20.

Protests outside Netanyahu’s residence will be allowed to continue with up to 2,000 participants at a time, as long as they are divided into 20-person “capsules.”

Critics have accused the prime minister of pushing through overbearing restrictions on movement and economic activity in order to also clamp down on the protests.

One by one Thursday, former senior members in Israel’s defense establishment spoke from a central podium at Paris Square. Many compared the current government’s failure to contain a raging coronavirus outbreak to the failures which preceded the 1973 Yom Kippur War.

Former Air Force brigadier general Amir Haskel, a veteran activist whose brief arrest in late June sparked the current protest wave, said that the restrictions on demonstrations were about politics, not public health.

“I think that the prime minister’s decision yesterday is a flagrant conflict of interest. He simply cannot place restrictions on protests against him,” Haskel told The Times of Israel. “The decision is based solely on his desire to silence us.”

Source: McCabe allegedly at the center of Durham’s probe, as new info reveals dossier source was a suspected Russian agent

Chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee Lindsey Graham hinted more than a week ago that more bombshell information regarding the FBI’s handling of its probe into President Donald Trump’s campaign and Russia was about to be public. He was right because it was Graham’s committee that discovered the information.

In a bombshell letter released a letter Thursday night by Graham’s committee from Justice Department Attorney General William Barr revealed a declassified summary from the bureau indicating that former British spy Christopher Steele’s primary sub-source in his debunked dossier was believed to be a Russian spy. Not only was the sub source believed to be a spy but the FBI knew about it and had conducted a counterintelligence investigation on the individual.

“In light of this newly declassified information, I will be sending the FISA Court the information provided to inform them how wide and deep the effort to conceal exculpatory information regarding the Carter Page warrant application was in 2016 and 2017,” said Graham. “A small group of individuals in the Department of Justice and FBI should be held accountable for this fraud against the court. I do not believe they represent the overwhelming majority of patriotic men and women who work at the Department of Justice and FBI.”

One of those individuals being investigated by Connecticut Prosecutor John Durham is former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe, who was fired from the FBI by former Attorney General Jeff Sessions for lying to the Inspector General on multiple occasions. He is now in Durham’s crosshairs, along with multiple other former senior FBI officials that were involved in the investigation, according to a source with direct knowledge.

“McCabe and others were suppressing information, misrepresenting it or lying about the information that they had in order to purposefully undermine the Trump candidacy and that turned into the predication for undermining the Trump presidency”

McCabe, along with other FBI officials, withheld that information from the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court, as well as some of the FBI special agents investigating Trump’s campaign and its alleged ties to Russia, according to the source.

“McCabe and others were suppressing information, misrepresenting it or lying about the information that they had in order to purposefully undermine the Trump candidacy and that turned into the predication for undermining the Trump presidency,” said a source with direct knowledge of the situation.

The source, who is familiar with the ongoings of the senior brass at the FBI, told this reporter the FBI Director Christopher Wray, along with Deputy Director David Bowdich, were contacted last week by the DOJ and were warned that a “shit storm was heading their way.”

The source alleged that McCabe is now a central figure in Durham’s investigation, along with several other senior FBI officials who were aware of the information but failed to disclose it. McCabe could not be immediately reached for comment but this story will be updated if and when he responds.

Neither the FBI press office, nor Thomas Carson, a spokesman for Durham’s office commented for this story despite repeated requests.

Charles Barkley: ‘We Need to Stop the Defund or Abolish Police Crap’

It’s not unusual for the NBA on TNT to swerve into the realm of politics, and Thursday night’s show was no exception.

As the crew reacted to the decision of a Kentucky Grand Jury to not vote murder charges against the three police officers involved in the March 13 shooting death of Breonna Taylor, Charles Barkley asked if “black people” were supposed to call “Ghost Busters” for help if the police are defunded.

This is not the first time that Barkley has spoken out against defunding police departments. In June, the former 76er called for “weeding out the bad cops,” as opposed to defunding.

“We need to weed out the bad cops — you know I hear these guys getting on television these politicians talking about ‘defunding the police department,’” Barkley said. “First of all, that would have a negative effect on the black communities — who the black people gonna call, Ghostbusters? Because they’re not gonna defund the police in the good white neighborhoods, so we need police reform.”

Kentucky Attorney General Daniel Cameron announced on Wednesday that a Grand Jury had voted an indictment for wanton endangerment against Brett Hankison, one of the three Louisville officers involved in executing the narcotics-related raid in which Breonna Taylor was killed.

Cities across the country exploded in violence mere hours after the decision was announced. In Louisville, two police officers were shot. While in Portland and Seattle, officers were attacked with bats and Molotov cocktails.

Democratic Kentucky state lawmaker arrested during unrest in Louisville and charged with rioting

Protesters are outraged at the arrest and claim police targeted her

Police arrested numerous protesters at the unrest in Louisville, Kentucky, on the second night of unrest, and among those arrested was a Kentucky state lawmaker.

Rep. Attica Scott was arrested by police and charged with first-degree rioting, failure to disperse and unlawful assembly.

According to WHAS-TV, she was arrested near the First Unitarian Church where protesters were granted sanctuary from police action after the city-mandated curfew to quell rioting and property damage.

WHAS reported that Scott was arrested without incident. A journalist with WFPL News posted video of a woman being arrested and identifying herself as Scott:

WFPL also reported that Scott's daughter Ashanti was arrested at the same time.

Scott is the only black woman serving in the Kentucky state legislature and is known for proposing "Breonna's Law," which would end the use of no-knock warrants throughout the state.

The law was named after Breonna Taylor, who was shot and killed by police during a raid in March. Police later said that they had announced themselves and knocked before entering Taylor's home. Protests and rioting erupted in the wake of the charges announced against one of the three officers in the raid.

How Twitter Is Enhancing Security In The Wake Of Bitcoin Phishing Hack

Twitter saw among its most high-profile security breaches in July, when 130 accounts were hacked and used to solicit involvement with a phishing scam. This was made even more significant by the fact that the attack involved the accounts of Barack Obama, Joe Biden, Jeff Bezos, Elon Musk, and many other major public figures.

After the dust settled on the debacle and with a suspected mastermind charged, Twitter on Thursday announced plans for how it will strengthen its security. This will involve new mandatory cybersecurity training courses for employees to prevent hackers from gaining access to sensitive information.

"We introduced two new mandatory training sessions for people who have access to non-public information," the company explained. "These trainings make clear the dos and don'ts when accessing this information and ensure employees understand how to protect themselves when they are online so they can better avoid becoming phishing targets for attackers."

By all accounts, the hackers responsible for the attack were able to pull it off by gaining access to Twitter employee login credentials. The attack is believed to have netted them $121,000 in Bitcoin.

“To further secure our internal tools from potential misuse, we have been strengthening the rigorous checks that team members with access must undergo,” the company explained.

Twitter will also be implementing alerts for its internal systems that will raise alarms for potentially unauthorized actions, similar to the system it currently offers users for their account security. "Phishing-resistant security keys" are now being used by employees when authenticating systems behind the scenes.

“This will always be ongoing work for us,” Twitter said, “but trust that we are committed to acting in the interest of the people who use our service.”

‘They were trying to do a coup!’: Trump says after FBI docs reveal agents bought liability insurance during Flynn probe

US President Donald Trump said the FBI targeted him for a “coup” after newly released documents showed that federal agents bought liability insurance over fears their handling of the Trump-Russia probe could lead to legal trouble.

The new documents were disclosed in a federal court filing on Thursday by Sidney Powell, defense attorney for former Trump adviser Michael Flynn. Seizing on the new release, the president ran a victory lap at a campaign rally in Florida, telling the crowd the FBI had been “caught” attempting a “coup.”

“Today a trove of text messages was released from FBI agents involved in the Russian witch hunt. You gotta see this,” Trump said, reading out a headline from the Federalist.

"These people are scum. They were trying to do a coup. And we’ve caught them before that, we caught them spying on our nation… Never forget: they are coming after me because I'm fighting for you."

The documents, which largely consist of text messages between unnamed federal agents, reveal that both FBI and CIA personnel purchased professional liability insurance days before Trump took office, fearing that illicit media leaks at the Department of Justice could result in lawsuits against many involved in the first leg of the Trump-Russia investigation – then known by its FBI codename, “Crossfire Hurricane.”

“We all went and purchased professional liability insurance,” one agent said in a text on January 10, 2017, some 10 days before Trump’s inauguration.

“Holy crap. All the analysts too?” another agent said, prompting the first to reply “Yep. All the folks at the Agency as well” – an apparent reference to the CIA.

When the first agent was asked who might be filing lawsuits, he responded: “Haha, who knows… I think [the] concern when we got it was that there was a big leak at DOJ and the [New York Times] among others was going to do a piece.”

The thought was if that piece comes out, and Jan 20th comes around… the new [attorney general] might have some questions… then yada yada yada… we all get screwed.

— Techno Fog (@Techno_Fog) September 24, 2020

The messages also indicate that the FBI’s separate investigation into Michael Flynn, then Trump’s national security advisor, was kept alive long after senior figures in the bureau ordered the probe closed, finding no “derogatory information” on Flynn. While one agent expressed relief in early November 2016 that the Flynn probe – named “Crossfire Razor” – was ordered shut, that order had been overturned by January 2017, bureau personnel said in the messages.

Other texts show agents discussing the use of National Security Letters (NSLs) as a pretext to ‘buy time’ and drag out the investigation, allowing the FBI to continue digging into Flynn’s finances with little judicial oversight, despite prior “traces” turning up “nothing.”

12/5/16: Discussions of the investigation of Flynn"We put out traces, tripwires to community and nothing.""Bingo""So whats an NSL [National Security Letter] going to do - no content." pic.twitter.com/6M7lVbbTZk

— Techno Fog (@Techno_Fog) September 24, 2020

Flynn was forced to resign as national security advisor in 2017 and later charged for misleading the FBI about his contacts with Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak, with whom he was accused of discussing US sanctions on Russia prior to Trump’s swearing-in as president. The DOJ has since ordered Flynn’s case closed after prior document dumps revealed misconduct at the bureau, Flynn’s judge has refused to comply with the order.
