Military aircraft crashes in north-eastern Ukraine, killing at least 25 (VIDEO)

Ukraine's military has confirmed reports of a crash involving an An-26 plane, said to have killed at least 25. Dramatic footage from the scene has surfaced online, showing the aircraft in flames as it lies by the side of the road.

The turboprop plane crashed late on Friday as it was about to land at an airfield outside the town of Chuguev. According to the information from Ukrainian Prosecutor General's office, 25 of the 27 people on board were killed.

Most of the plane has seemingly disintegrated upon impact and in the subsequent fire, disturbing imagery circulating online suggests. The tail section of the plane, however, remains largely intact.

The governor of the Kharkov region Alexey Kucher initially said that, of the 28 people on board, seven were military officers and 21 were cadets with the Kharkov National Air Force University. However, emergency services later clarified that one of the cadets was not allowed to get on board.

In perhaps one of the most high-stakes Zoom mishaps of the pandemic, Argentinian MP Juan Emilio Ameri decided to suck on a woman's breast amid a virtual parliamentary session, which resulted in his suspension and resignation.

During Thursday’s budget talks the father-of-three legislator first put a young woman on his lap, then pulled her top off and proceeded to touch her breast with his mouth. Ameri was suspended immediately after the scene played out for both his fellow MPs and the viewers at home.

Massachusetts Charges Care Facility Managers With Criminal Neglect Over 76 COVID-19 Deaths

WASHINGTON (Sputnik) - A grand jury in the US state of Massachusetts has indicted for criminal neglect two managers of a veterans care facility whose actions contributed to the death of at least 76 residents during the ongoing novel coronavirus outbreak, State Attorney General Maura Healey said in a statement.

The prosecution is focused on a 27 March decision to consolidate two dementia units of the Soldiers’ Home in Holyoke, Massachusetts, into one, which placed COVID-19 patients within feet of asymptomatic residents, increasing their exposure to the novel coronavirus.

"We allege that the actions of these defendants during the COVID-19 outbreak at the facility put veterans at higher risk of infection and death and warrant criminal charges," Healey said in the statement on Friday.

Superintendent Bennett Walsh and former medical director David Clinton each face five counts of charges of being caretakers who wantonly or recklessly committed or permitted bodily injury to an elder or a disabled person, and another five of being a caretaker who wantonly or recklessly commits or permits abuse, neglect or mistreatment to an elder or a disabled person.

The investigation found that residents who were positive or symptomatic for COVID-19 were placed six in a room that normally held four. Residents thought to be asymptomatic were placed in nine beds in the dining room.
