Politics (our kind) was put in place to prevent war between the different sides. Since both politics and religion are subjects that can lead to violence & war, America just adopted the philosophy of not discussing wither in public.
The left took our 'politeness' - not silence, but manors, as an opportunity.
Time to step up again and not 'polite' but we can still be kind? I don't know - I'd rather shoot the traitors.
