We know that an important component of the Madagascar treatment is Artemisinin, an anti-Malaria herbal extract that comes from either Sweet Annie (Artemisia annua), a Chinese herb or from the native species Artemisia afra. Both are widely grown in Africa to produce anti-malarial treatments.
It seems that treatment with a fungus can INCREASE the Artemisinin content. Aspergillus species are very common and one species is grown on soybeans and eaten in Indonesia -- Tempeh.
The attached paper is kind of technical, but part of it describes purifying samples with increased Artemisinin content and getting a yellow substance. Less pure samples with lots of chlorophyll remaining in them are green. This suggests to me that the President could be right. In Madagascar they don't just grind up raw Sweet Annie plants, they process them to increase the Artemisinin content. So at a minimum, the counterfeit product from Europe has a green color because it's a cheap knockoff.
As for the poison that was added, WHO knows. I suppose it could have been one of the ingredients used in vaccines that cause a cytokine storm.
