A man was jailed for domestic violence and sexual abuse after a 13-year-old's mother allegedly found him in her daughter's bed. Jordan Craig Gallegos was arrested for forcible sexual abuse, object rape of a child, a first-degree felony and four counts of domestic violence.

Police said a woman discovered Jordan Craig Gallegos in her daughter's bed and pulled back the blanket covering the pair and found the man touching the girl around her groin. The mother, confronted Gallegos with what she saw him doing to the victim. KUTV is not making the mother's name public to protect the identity of the victim.

Gallegos then grabbed a box cutter and started to cut his own throat according to probable cause documents. The mother, who was familiar with Gallegos, took the knife from him. He located another knife and started cutting on himself again. A call was made to 911 and the mother got the victim and three other children out of the home for their safety. Police responded to the Sandy home where the man was inside. A police S.W.A.T. team eventually brought Gallegos out of the home in cuffs and took him for medical care.

Police interviewed the victim who said he touched her and also interviewed Gallegos who told them he was "too drunk" to remember what he did. Police said he claimed to have had more than four beers. He told police he wanted to die for for what he was witnessed doing and is accused of doing by the girl and her mother. The domestic violence charges are from violent efforts of self harm in front of multiple children.

The court documents state Gallegos would "constitute substantial danger to an alleged victim of domestic violence if released on bail" and call for his continued detention.

Updated: 7:12 PM EDT Sep 27, 2020

A Louisville man was arrested for allegedly threatening to shoot police officers.

According to U.S. Attorney Russell Coleman, Cortez Edwards, 29, went live on Facebook while holding an AR with an extended magazine. In the video, Edwards requested $30,000 to shoot Louisville Metro Police officers on scene for a disturbance in font of his home.

"Louisville needs healing and safety for its citizens, not armed felons seeking bids to shoot police," said Coleman. "Federal law enforcement here will continue to respond as one to swiftly mitigate threats to our city."

On Sunday, special agents executed a search warrant on Edward's home. Officers uncovered a Glock 19 semi-automatic pistol. At the time of entry police say there was a toddler present in a playpen. Following the seizure, Edwards was arrested and charged with being a felon in possession of a firearm.

This case is being investigated by the Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco Firearms and Explosives, Louisville Metro Police Department, Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), U.S. Marshals Service, and United States Secret Service.

"The sheriff’s office says the woman, whom authorities identified as Sodsai Dalzell, fled the home but was later arrested."

Exactly. So glad they got her. A 9-month-old grandchild was sleeping in a playpen Saturday when an unknown woman entered their home in Malibu and grabbed the child.
