It's not a "fact" if there is no evidence to support it, nor is there way to test it. At best, it's a theory.

You honestly can't.

The radio-carbon dating is beyond flawed.

A single catastrophe could "artificially" age something by several millions, if not billions of years.

Furthermore, the evidence does not show the sun as being responsible for a vast majority of the cataclysms which certainly appear to have taken place, regardless of how long ago or what the cause.

But from looking at scarring on our planet and other celestial objects, there does not appear to be evidence of cyclical catastrophes. Rather, these were isolated events that have little chance of happening again in the near future.
