There are publicized stories of Vietnam POW’s and then there are exemplary stories told through the learning institutions of the military. I am fortunate enough to attend several conferences told by these great men and I retained their books.

While captive, they developed a way of communicating through taps on the wall. What started out as a desperate reach for unity evolved into the most extraordinary accomplishments in modern history.

These men found the Will to reach above the misery of captivity to wait their turn. The prison guards were still guards when these tough men returned to freedom. Furthermore, these fine men continued their pursuits with the same Will when they returned. They would test out of language course without ever reading a book on the language or ever hearing it spoke. They would test out of advance math, philosophy and many other courses with out ever reading it out of a book. Truly amazing men who know that you can achieve this too. Everyone.

The keystone to their learning is the 5:5 pic

A Q can be a question. A series of questions can be a Quiz.

The Q was their favorite letter: Q=Quiz/interrogation. Their greatest pursuit!

Their favorite time of the week was church. Church = C. It was open to All, regardless of beliefs.

Their favorite song was “God Bless America” which they sang softly to avoid attention from the guards.

They felt their greatest Unity singing that song and challenge all to sing it out loud as well. Try it alone or with others and see for yourself.
