President Trump Demands US Attorneys Launch Investigation Into ‘Ilham Omar Connected Cash-For-Ballots’ Scheme

President Trump called for US Attorneys to launch an investigation into a ‘cash-for-ballots’ scheme involving political allies and associates of Democrat Rep. Ilhan Omar.

“This is totally illegal. Hope that the U.S. Attorney in Minnesota has this, and other of her many misdeeds, under serious review??? If not, why not??? We will win Minnesota because of her, and law enforcement. Saved Minneapolis & Iron O Range!” Trump said in a midnight tweet.

By ‘misdeeds’ President Trump is referring to Ilhan Omar’s marriage to her own brother to defraud US immigration, campaign finance violations and other crimes.

In undercover footage released on Sunday, the investigative journalists at Project Veritas found that Omar’s campaign manager Ali Isse Gainey is a key player in the ballot harvesting scheme.

The footage shows a man named Liban Mohamed saying that he was collecting the ballots to help his brother win the city’s Aug. 11 special election for a vacant Ward 6 city council race—which was held the same day as the primary for Omar’s MN-05 congressional seat.

“Ballot harvesting is real and it has become a big business. Our investigation into this ballot harvesting ring demonstrates clearly how these unscrupulous operators exploit the elderly and immigrant communities—and have turned the sacred ballot box into a commodities trading desk,” Project Veritas founder James O’Keefe III said in a statement accompanying the video release.

O’Keefe added, “We are showing Americans what is really going on in one of our great cities—but, it’s not me saying—we have the operators on tape saying it all themselves.”

Chinese State Media Outlet Throws Support Behind Black Lives Matter

Chinese state media outlet Xinhua has thrown its support behind Black Lives Matter with a cartoon that depicts police officers armed with pitchforks and torches hunting down a black man.

“Statistics show, time and again, that some are disproportionately prejudiced against in the U.S. #FightRacism,” tweeted the official Xinhua News account.

The image shows three white police officers and a dog hunting down an African-American male to the refrain of “hunt that blackie!”

Following the death of George Floyd and the explosion of BLM riots and demonstrations that followed, Chinese media and Communist political figures threw their weight behind the movement as a means of criticizing America’s human rights record.

This is pretty rich given that China literally incarcerates dissidents in re-education gulags and harvests the organs of political prisoners.

Respondents to the tweet pointed out the revolting irony.

“So how are the Uighurs doing up in Xinjiang?” asked one.

Another respondent pointed out how China literally removes black people from promos for Hollywood movies.

China is one of the most racist countries in the world towards black people.

As this Spectator article documents, even Chinese people with darker skin are treated badly, with children being called “monkeys” if they don’t have a pale complexion.

Racism in China is “so commonplace it can seem almost cheerful,” writes Carola Binney, who spent a year in China teaching English, adding that racism is a “standard undercurrent of public debate.”

Seventh Circuit Overturns Obama Judge Ruling That Extended Wisconsin’s Election by a Week

Let’s face it, it sure seems every judge nominated by Obama is a corrupt far-left judge. Thank God we now have courts that can overrule their insane and unsubstantiated rulings.

Last week, a Wisconsin judge declared that instead of having to be present on Election Day to be counted, absentee ballots postmarked by 8 p.m. Election Day could be counted so long as they arrived up to six days later.

The report was based on a ruling by an Obama appointed judge in Wisconsin:

In anticipation of a crush of absentee ballots, a federal judge on Monday extended the deadline for counting ballots cast in Wisconsin and sent through the mail by almost a week after Election Day.

The sweeping order by U.S. District Judge William Conley just 43 days before the election makes it likely Wisconsinites won’t know the unofficial results of the presidential election on Election Day this year, unless his ruling is reversed by the U.S. Court of Appeals or U.S. Supreme Court.

Of course the Democrat Party praised the ruling. It’s all about power to them, anyway they can get it.

Fortunately the Circuit Court has a majority of conservative appointed judges. Redstate continues:

A little earlier today, the Seventh Circuit weighed in on an appeal by the Republican National Committee, the Wisconsin GOP, and Wisconsin’s Republican legislative caucus:

A federal appeals court on Sunday temporarily halted a six-day extension for counting absentee ballots in Wisconsin’s presidential election, a momentary victory for Republicans and President Donald Trump in the key presidential battleground state.

As it stands, ballots will now be due by 8 p.m. on Election Day. A lower court judge had sided with Democrats and their allies to extend the deadline until Nov. 9. Democrats sought more time as a way to help deal with an expected historic high number of absentee ballots.

That ends the argument unless the Supreme Court reinstates the lawless policy imposed in defiance of state law by a single federal judge.

Now to deal with the corrupt actions in numerous other states by the Democrats to steal the election.

Federal judge blocks Trump’s effort to ban TikTok from US app stores

A US District judge has made an 11th hour intervention to block a federal government order prohibiting downloads of TikTok from app stores by American users.

US District Judge Carl Nichols issued a preliminary injunction, which would allow the popular app to still be on offer in Apple and Google stores, shortly before the ban was supposed to come into force on Sunday midnight. Earlier in the day, Nichols allowed a 90-minute hearing, where a lawyer representing TikTok made the case for it remaining available to users in the US.

While the court sided with TikTok’s parent company, ByteDance, on the issue of US app stores, it stopped short of blocking looming Commerce Department restrictions that are set to come into force on November 12.

TikTok is facing an outright ban in the US right after the US presidential elections if its preliminary deal with retailer giant Walmart and software company Oracle for them to buy a 20 percent stake in the app fails to receive a seal of approval from Beijing. Earlier this week, ByteDance announced that it applied for an export license in accordance with the Chinese government guidelines.

Trump, whose administration has targeted the Chinese-owned app for allegedly mishandling user data and allowing the Chinese government to spy on American citizens, gave the deal his “blessing” last week, calling it “a great deal for America.”

“The security will be 100%,” Trump said at the time.

Nevertheless, uncertainty continues to swirl over whether the parties manage to thrash out the terms of the agreement to make it acceptable for both Beijing and Washington, with Trump suggesting that the negotiations could fall through as well.

“If they get it done that’s great, if they don’t that’s fine too,” he said.

Last week, a judge in California blocked a similar order ousting the WeChat app from American stores hours before it was supposed to take effect.

Foreign aid workers on Lesbos probed for helping traffickers deliver migrants to Greece

Greek police have launched a criminal investigation into dozens of foreign aid workers on the island of Lesbos, who were allegedly in cahoots with human traffickers, delivering illegal migrants to Greece from Turkey.

The law enforcers said that they were investigating 35 people linked to unnamed NGOs, which were operating on the island.

Police studied their activities for months before concluding that, under the guise of humanitarian work, the suspects were actually cooperating with traffickers who were smuggling migrants into the country.

They used encrypted apps to provide information on assembly points on the Turkish shore, geographical coordinates of landing spots, accommodation areas at the Moria refugee camp and more, according to the police.

This scheme was employed on at least 32 occasions since last June and saw several thousand people entering Greece illegally.

"An investigation is underway to determine the full extent of the criminal organization's illegal activity and its links," the police said.

The probed NGO staff included citizens of Germany, Switzerland, France, Spain, Austria, Norway, Bulgaria, as well as Iran and Pakistan, according to Greek media reports.

Greek islands located near the Turkish shores – Lesbos, in particular – have become one of the main entry points to Europe for asylum seekers since the migrant crisis in 2015 and 2016.

Moria camp on Lesbos was the largest on the continent, hosting more than 12,000 people, before it was destroyed by fire earlier this month. The Greek authorities are now working to relocate the migrants to a temporary tent camp.

Child Reports Rape to Police and Is Assigned an Officer Who Sexually Assaults Her

New Orleans, LA — As frequent readers of the Free Thought Project know, police officers are arrested weekly in this country for sex crimes involving children. This is a massive problem but becomes even worse when victims of child sex abuse seek out help and run right into the arms of someone even worse than they are trying to report. For one girl in New Orleans, Louisiana, this is exactly what happened to her.

On Friday, the New Orleans Police department arrested one of their own officers for sexually assaulting a child. Rodney Vicknair, 53, was arrested and charged with sexual battery, indecent behavior with a juvenile and malfeasance, for sexually assaulting a child while investigating a sexual assault that she reported.

Earlier this year, the victim contacted the NOPD to report a sexual assault and Vicknair was assigned to her case. Instead of helping the child, however, this monster allegedly began grooming her.

According to NOLA.com, Vicknair allegedly began sending text messages to the girl, going to her house during his personal time and remarking how attractive she was and how she aroused him, said the source, who spoke on the condition of anonymity. He is also accused of fondling the girl’s genitals and breasts, the source said.

After receiving an anonymous tip that Vicknair was sexually assaulting the child — who he was supposed to be helping — the NOPD Public Integrity Bureau conducted a preliminary investigation and found enough evidence to arrest him. A warrant was issued for his arrest at his home in St. Tammany Parish and he was brought in without incident.

He’s since been suspended from his duties pending the resolution of the criminal case against him. On Saturday, police released the familiar statement noting that his actions don’t reflect those of other officers within the department.

“Allegations against one of our own involving a juvenile [are] reprehensible,” Police Superintendent Shaun Ferguson said. “New Orleans police officers are held to a higher standard. We will not tolerate behavior that compromises the public trust or violates the law.”

The above statement rings hollow, however, given the fact that the NOPD has a history of child sex abuse and a complete lack of accountability for officers caught abusing children. As TFTP reported, an investigation into the New Orleans Police Department revealed a disturbing lack of discipline for individuals who’ve been caught and accused of these despicable acts.

While these officers were initially suspended, as soon as the spotlight moved on, they were silently allowed back across the blue line, a troubling notion indeed.

DOJ Antitrust Lawsuit Against Google Focuses on Search Engine Monopoly

A recent report claims that Google’s search engine is about to face major challenges as the DOJ readies an antitrust lawsuit accusing the tech giant of crushing competition to protect its monopoly.

A recent report from Bloomberg claims that Google’s Search product, one of Google’s most profitable businesses, could soon be facing major legal issues as the U.S. government reportedly readies an antitrust lawsuit against the internet giant, accusing it of its massive power to protect and extend its search engine monopoly.

The DOJ has conducted a 14-month investigation and is now reportedly focusing on whether or not Google alters search results to favor its own products and whether it restricts access to users to shut out rivals, according to sources close to the investigation.

Google controls approximately 90 percent of the online search market in the United States, rivals to the company have long claimed that it uses its significant power and influence to shut down competition across the internet. European competition regulators have fine Google billions of euros already for breaking antitrust laws bu U.S. regulators have mostly left the company untouched since a probe by the Federal Trade Commission was closed in early 2013 with no action taken.

Attorney General William Barr is now reportedly on the cusp what could be the largest U.S. monopoly case since the government sued Microsoft Corp. over two decades ago.

Some involved in the case reportedly expect the case to filed as early as this week but the timing may be pushed back by around a week according to sources close to the case. State attorneys general and Justice Department lawyers have allegedly been discussing final preparation for the case this week in Washington.

Joe Biden Exploited S-Corporation Loophole to Avoid Payroll Tax

The establishment media is all aflutter Monday after a New York Times story over the weekend about incumbent GOP President Donald Trump’s tax records, but it turns out Democrat candidate former Vice President Joe Biden used a series of tax code loopholes to avoid paying hundreds of thousands of dollars in taxes over the years.

Back in August, the Wall Street Journal’s Chris Jacobs exposed how the Biden family structured what is called an “S-Corp” to avoid paying hundreds of thousands of dollars in taxes.

“How the Bidens Dodged the Payroll Tax,” was Jacobs’ headline on Aug. 10.

In it, the Journal details how the Bidens set up an S-Corporation to avoid paying more than half a million dollars in taxes they would have otherwise owed.

“Joe Biden responded to President Trump’s partial suspension of payroll-tax collections with a statement calling it the ‘first shot in a new, reckless war on Social Security,’” Jacobs wrote. He continued: “‘Our seniors and millions of Americans with disabilities are under enough stress without Trump putting their hard-earned Social Security benefits in doubt.’ Mr. Biden’s objections might be more persuasive had he and his wife, Jill, not gone out of their way to avoid funding seniors’ entitlement benefits. According to their tax returns, in 2017 and 2018 the Bidens and his wife Jill avoided payroll taxes on nearly $13.3 million in income from book royalties and speaking fees. They did so by classifying the income as S-corporation profits rather than taxable wages.”

Jacobs continued in his expose by noting the corporation the Bidens established to avoid paying the payroll taxes on millions of dollars in income amounts to more than half a million dollars in taxes that Joe and Jill Biden did not pay.

“According to the Urban Institute, a couple featuring one high earner and one average earner, retiring this year, will have paid a total of $209,000 in Medicare taxes during their working lives,” Jacobs wrote. “The Bidens avoided paying nearly twice that much in Medicare taxes during two years. The maximum payroll tax affected by Mr. Trump’s suspension is $1,984—less than 1/250th of the amount the Bidens avoided in 2017-18. The Bidens didn’t avoid any Social Security tax, which applied only to the first $127,200 of income in 2017 and $128,400 in 2018. But they would under Mr. Biden’s tax plan, which would impose the 12.4% Social Security tax on income over $400,000; the same loophole he used in 2017-18 would shield him from his own tax. And how can Mr. Biden claim to protect Medicare and ObamaCare when he avoided more than $500,000 in taxes that fund the two programs? The media have largely ignored the Bidens’ accounting legerdemain, fixating on Mr. Trump’s tax returns instead. But at least the president isn’t looking to raise taxes on everyone else.”

Pope Francis: Migrants Are Forced to Flee ‘Like Jesus’

ROME — Pope Francis emphasized the involuntary nature of much migration Sunday, insisting that, like Jesus, migrants and refugees are often “forced to flee.”

“Today the Church celebrates the World Day of Migrants and Refugees,” the pope told the pilgrims gathered in Saint Peter’s Square for his weekly Angelus address. “I greet the refugees and migrants present in the Square around the monument entitled ‘Angels, unawares,’ which I blessed last year.”

The pontiff said this year he has dedicated his Message for the commemoration “to the internally displaced, who are forced to flee, as also happened to Jesus and his family. ‘Like Jesus, forced to flee,’ likewise the displaced, migrants.”

“Our remembrance and our prayer to them, in a particular way, and to those who assist them,” he added.

Pope Francis has often compared migrants to Jesus Christ, suggesting that the cold welcome Christ received on coming into the world is similar to the reception many migrants experience.

“Jesus knows well the pain of not being welcomed,” the pope said in a 2018 tweet for International Migrants’ Day. “May our hearts not be closed as were the houses in Bethlehem.”

During the flight into Egypt, “the child Jesus experienced with his parents the tragic fate of the displaced and refugees,” Francis said earlier this year, “which is marked by fear, uncertainty and unease.”

“Unfortunately, in our own times, millions of families can identify with this sad reality,” Francis said. “Almost every day the television and papers carry news of refugees fleeing from hunger, war and other grave dangers, in search of security and a dignified life for themselves and for their families.”

“In each of these people, forced to flee to safety, Jesus is present as he was at the time of Herod,” he continued. “In the faces of the hungry, the thirsty, the naked, the sick, strangers and prisoners, we are called to see the face of Christ who pleads with us to help.”

“If we can recognize him in those faces, we will be the ones to thank him for having been able to meet, love and serve him in them,” he said.

Pope Francis has made immigration a central plank of his papal platform, encouraging nations to be more inviting to migrants, whether legal or illegal, while insisting that a failure to welcome migrants is rooted in selfishness and fueled by “populist rhetoric.”

In the 2016 election we kept track of event attendance after the Party Conventions for both candidate Trump and Crooked Hillary. We did this because the future President was setting records at seemingly every venue he visited while Hillary could barely fill half a high school gymnasium. By mid-August we determined that President Trump had 10 times the number of attendees at his rallies than Hillary did during the same time. This year it’s worse.

By election day 2016 we determined that tens of thousands of more individuals attended Trump events than Hillary events.

The far left mainstream media claimed Hillary was up in the polls. They claimed that rally attendance didn’t matter, but it did. Momentum and enthusiasm mean a lot. (In March 2017 Deroy Murdock cited our work on FOX News to show that President Trump just plain outworked Hillary in the 2016 campaign.)

So we are running a campaign tally again for 2020. Beginning on Labor Day we started putting together the below estimates for attendance at campaign events through Saturday night, September 26, 2020.

Since Labor day we count very few events for Biden and a very small number of attendees not campaign or press related. Some of Biden’s events have had no individuals present other than approved press or campaign workers. Many days, like Saturday, Biden was not even out campaigning.

Below is the summary of events since Labor Day. President Trump has now held events with an estimated 241,330 event goers while Biden has entertained an estimated 84 event goers.

Recent ChromeOS updates cause a Google Play Store service to utilize 100% of the CPU, making devices hot and experience performance issues.

Since users began updating to ChromeOS 85.0.4183.108 and later, apps are running erratically, devices get hot, fans are running at high speed, and the battery is drained too quickly.

After users investigated the issue, it was found to be caused by the Google Play 'com.android.vending:download_service' suddenly utilizing 95-100% of the CPU for an extended period.

Church Ransacked and Robbed, 'Sleeping Madonna' Left Broken and Desecrated

The violence and hate faced by Christians took an ugly turn for one church as vandals ransacked the house of worship, destroying sacred objects and looting goods.

Unfortunately for the church, this was the second vicious act in less than a month.

The most recent vandalism happened in the early hours of Tuesday morning in Caltanissetta, Italy, according to the Italian-language La Sicilia.

Relics were demolished at the church of Sant’Agata al Collegio with no apparent reason other than for the sake of destruction. Photos from the scene show broken artifacts and icons, with other church objects strewn about.

A sleeping Madonna figure had its glass door shattered and its arm broken off and was robbed of a gold brooch by the vandals. Pictures show the religious icon spilling out of its case.

“Unscrupulous people … have meddled in the Church and parish premises ravaging everything they could, desecrating the Lord’s House. The Nazarene Jesus Association is tightening around Father Sergio and the Friars who have been serving the Community and the whole city for years,” the local Nazarene Jesus Association said in Italian on a Facebook post.

“We ask the city to make its voice and condemnation heard loudly for these cowardly acts.”

Accompanying the post, the religious organization provided photographs of the desecration.

Archbishop Carlo Maria Viganò said the 2020 presidential election presents Americans with a “biblical” challenge “against the demonic forces of the deep state and against the New World Order.”

The Catholic Church’s former Apostolic Nuncio to the U.S. once again warned voters that warring principalities unseen to the human eye will clash on Election Day. The archbishop previously framed the political landscape to a battle between “the children of light and the children of darkness” in June.

“Presidential elections in November represent an epochal challenge, a biblical challenge, the outcome of which will be decisive not only for the United States of America but for the whole world,” he wrote in a letter offered, but not read, to Wednesday’s National Catholic Prayer Breakfast.

FinCEN Leaks: Who Benefits From the Disclosure?

More than 100 news organizations from around the world recently released a detailed investigation into the financial corruption enabled by international banks – do Americans even care?

Last weekend, BuzzFeed News, International Consortium of Investigative Journalists, and more than 100 international news organizations released the FinCEN Files investigation detailing how a plethora of international banks are permitting financial transactions linked to drug cartels, human trafficking, and oligarchs. The series gets its name from the US Department of Treasury’s Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) and is based on more than 2,100 leaked “suspicious activity reports” (SARs) and other US government documents.

U.S. law requires SARs be filed to FinCEN when a bank or a financial institution believes transactions moving through their organizations could involve money laundering, insider trading, cyber attacks or various types of fraud. These SARs are typically never revealed to the public and they are not available via Freedom of Information Act requests.

The FinCEN leaks involve more than $2 trillion USD worth of flagged transactions from 1999 to 2017. While the unprecedented look at SARs does offer a glimpse into the world international finance, the ICIJ says the 2,100 SARs represent less than .02 percent of the more than 12 million filed during this time period.

The transactions involve a wide range of international banks, including JPMorgan, HSBC, Deutsche Bank AG, and VTB Bank. Key highlights from the leaks and subsequent stories involve JPMorgan processing payments for “potentially corrupt individuals and companies in Venezuela, Ukraine and Malaysia”; HSBC laundering Ponzi scheme money ; and a Ukrainian billionaire being paid via Deutchse Bank AG. The ICIJ also includes a list of the billionaires exposed by the leaks. Most of the names will not be familiar to a western audience, save for Paul Manafort, Donald Trump’s former political strategist who was convicted of fraud in 2018. JP Morgan processed more than $50 million in payments for Manafort over a decade that were flagged as suspicious.

One story discovered in the SARs involves North Korea and an apparent money laundering scheme involving “a string of shell companies” and help from Chinese companies.

“Wire transfers from North Korean-linked companies with opaque ownership sometimes came in bursts, only days or hours apart, and the amounts that were transferred were in round figures with no clear commercial reasons for the transactions, according to the documents,” NBC wrote. “Graham Barrow, a London-based anti-money laundering expert, said those kinds of transactions are “red flags” and are all hallmarks of efforts to conceal the origins of illicit cash.”

Another story involved heroin, money laundering, and a man named Anthony Gomes. Gomes was arrested in 2017 and plead guilty to conspiring to launder money and to distribute drugs that killed Americans. Prosecutors alleged that Gomes and others were using offshore accounts, money transfers, a Bank of America account, and encrypted communication to wire money to China and Canada. Transactions involving Gomes and others were flagged in the SARs. Three of the eight people associated with Gomes have been charged with or convicted of drug trafficking.

HSBC – infamous for admitting to U.S. prosecutors in 2012 that it helped the Sinaloa drug cartel launder at least $881 million – is also heavily featured in the FinCEN leaks. HSBC was supposed to be under a five year probation period during which they would attempt to prevent money laundering via their banks. However, according to the SARs reports, during this time HSBC continued to offer banking services to alleged criminals, Ponzi schemers, shell companies and other funds for drug traffickers.

“Starting in 2012, HSBC embarked on a multi-year journey to overhaul its ability to combat financial crime across more than 60 jurisdictions. HSBC is a much safer institution than it was in 2012,” the bank said in response to the stories by BuzzFeed News and the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists.

Little Rock Teachers Union Refuses To Teach, Says We Will Not Be at Work Monday

The city of Little Rock Teacher’s Union announced on Sunday that staff will not be in attendance on Monday September, 28. The Little Rock Education Association (LREA) said that teachers will be present to teach online classes but said educators will not be physically present in schools.

“At this juncture, LREA members believe that our schools are not safe for in-person instruction and that the risk to our students, our staff members and our community is too great,” the association said in a news release. The union said the move was not a strike or a work stoppage. Teachers won’t show up for in-person classes due to concerns about the spread of coronavirus in schools, the head of the local teacher’s union said Sunday.

“If we do not transition to virtual instruction now, someone is going to get sick. Someone is going to die,” union President Teresa Knapp Gordon said in a statement. “We will not be responsible for that happening.”

It was not clear how many teachers in the district planned to not show up for classes, but the superintendent of the 21,000-student district said officials were taking additional steps to ensure schools remain open for in-person classes.

The Little Rock School District announced in a letter to parents on Sunday that the district would be open with busing and meals provided as usual. The district noted that they expect their “dedicated teaching staff to be present,” but noted that they would be bringing in substitute teachers, as well. The district also threatened “disciplinary action” against teachers who were not present for in-person instruction.

Arkansas Gov. Asa Hutchinson, a Republican, condemned the union’s decision and noted that the state has a declining positivity rate for coronavirus infections.

“We have had a good start to this school year, and we have handled the expected challenges with the well-being of our students and teachers as the highest priority. With a declining positivity rate in Pulaski County and with the safety measures in place, it is difficult to understand the resistance to teaching in the classroom,” Hutchinson said.

For Mark Kelly, Attending Forum Hosted by CCP Was the Beginning of Lucrative Relationship with China

Met with top China officials at 2003 Communist-hosted junket

The Chinese government invited then-astronaut Mark Kelly, now an Arizona Democratic Senate candidate, to an all-expenses-paid retreat at a countryside resort in 2003. He left China five days later not only with a future spouse, former Rep. Gabby Giffords (D., Ariz.), but also with lucrative regime business contacts.

Kelly attended the annual Young Leaders Forum, a five-day junket cohosted by the Chinese People's Institute of Foreign Affairs, which is "under the leadership of the Communist Party of China." The conference allowed Kelly an opportunity to mingle with high-profile Communist Party officials and rising stars in Chinese society. Attendees included Cui Tiankai, now Chinese ambassador to the United States; Fang Xinghai, former director of the CCP's top committee on the economy; and Zhou Mingwei, the party's former top foreign propaganda honcho.

China analyst Gordon G. Chang said that party connections—such as those Kelly fostered—are "absolutely essential" for securing Chinese business deals.

"The Communist Party tries to control everything, whether it's a state enterprise or a private company," he said. "And so it's extremely important to have Communist Party contacts [to do business]."

Kelly has also had extensive ties with China since becoming a civilian. World View Enterprise, an aerospace company he cofounded and in which he still holds investments, received funding from Chinese tech giant Tencent, which censors the internet for Beijing. As the Washington Free Beacon reported, he also held a financial stake in a Colorado company that courted investments from a Chinese state-funded tech enterprise.

He now has assets worth up to $27 million, according to his financial disclosure.

A Kelly campaign spokesman said that the former aviator's participation was "coordinated by NASA," but did not answer questions about whether the Democrat used any of the contacts he met on the YLF trip for his business ventures. Instead, the campaign said that prominent Republicans also participated in the campaign.

Kelly and Giffords told multiple media outlets that they met during the Young Leaders Forum, without mentioning the Chinese People's Institute of Foreign Affairs. The retreat took place in a luxury hotel in the scenic Chinese countryside, where attendees went on pleasure cruise rides in between their panel discussions. Kelly gave a one-hour speech about his space experience, while Giffords participated in a panel discussion with Chinese politicos.

Kelly would participate in the 2004 and 2005 conferences as well. He called the experience "one of the absolute highlights of my life, second only to flying in space," and even took a Forum banner into space in 2006.

Kelly's campaign has been trying to deflect concerns about the candidate's business ties by emphasizing his military service and calling China a "threat to American interests." Nevertheless, they have remained contentious in the race, with Republicans spending millions on ads accusing him of dependence on China. He holds a 5.5 point lead against Republican incumbent Martha McSally, according to RealClearPolitics.

Former NM Democratic Gov. Bill Richardson Accused Of Taking Bribes, Kickbacks To ‘Fund Debauched Lifestyle Including ‘Sexual Services And Favors’

Former governor of New Mexico Bill Richardson, who has been accused by Virginia Roberts of having sex with her on Jeffrey Epstein’s orders when she was underage — faces a slew of new allegations.

Richardson, 72, “has been accused of raking in hundreds of thousands of dollars in bribes and kickbacks while in office – money which allegedly funded a luxury and debauched lifestyle including ‘sexual services and favors,” according to a recently unsealed legal complaint obtained by DailyMail.com.

According to the lawsuit, Richardson ran a scam dubbed the ‘Richardson Ring’ which saw the one-time governor benefiting from money he grafted from business investments into the state of New Mexico in the early 2000s.

The greedy politician lined his own pockets with cash, used some money to fund his political campaigns and organizations and also enjoyed lavish meals, wine and liquor as well as luxury travel and entertainment, the legal filing claims. …

Richardson’s alleged ‘pay to play’ scheme was exposed by a man called Frank Foy and made public in unsealed court documents in January 2009. The resulting public scandal forced the SIC to begin investigating kickbacks in state investment business and Richardson himself. Now in a civil action filed in Bernalillo County, New Mexico, in May, but only unsealed last week, it’s alleged that Richardson oversaw a sophisticated cover up of his scheme.

The lawsuit claims that Governor Richardson was able to place his trusted ‘operatives’ in state government jobs to cover-up his wrongdoing.

Virginia Roberts, whose married name is Giuffre, has named Richardson as among a list of powerful men she was ordered by Epstein to have sex with. Epstein, who allegedly committed in his jail cell in New York last year, owned the huge 10,000 acre Zorro Ranch in New Mexico, where it’s believed he assaulted young girls and threw lavish parties for his powerful guests, The Mail reported.

In a statement issued to Fox News by Richardson’s reps, the former Democratic governor said: “Governor Richardson has never even been contacted by any party regarding this lawsuit. To be clear, in Governor Richardson’s limited interactions with Mr. Epstein, he never saw him in the presence of young or underage girls. Governor Richardson has never been to Mr. Epstein’s residence in the Virgin Islands. Governor Richardson has never met Ms. Giuffre.”

The statement doesn’t mention if Richardson ever went to Zorro Ranch.
