Wow. This IS strange. When it was announced that she was not going to seek further health treatment, Jenna, her granddaughter was on one of those morning shows. When she was talking she said "she WAS the best grandmother anyone could have" (something like that). She said WAS and corrected herself "is". I just thought that was weird.
