Report: New York City Voters Wrongly Receive Mail-in Ballots Labeled for Military Use

Queens, New York City, voters have received mail-in ballots marked for military use even though recipients never served in the armed forces, according to a Monday report.

Per the New York Post:

In recent days, several borough residents — including two Post journalists — have received forms reading “Official Absentee Military Ballot,” creating concern about whether their votes would be properly tallied. […]

Beyond Sunnyside, non-service members also reported receiving the ballots in neighborhoods including Richmond Hill, Forest Hills and Astoria.

Van Bramer, a Democrat, said the issue only adds to the worries in an already topsy-turvy election cycle that has seen an inordinate number of voters look to mail-in voting with the coronavirus pandemic raging on. […]

Van Bramer said he was informed by the city BOE that the issue stemmed from a typographical error, wherein a dash meant to separate the words “absentee” and “military” was dropped.

“There’s just mass confusion about these ballots and what people are supposed to do with them,” Van Bramer told the Post. “People were already not trusting this process and they were already not trusting the Board of Elections to count the ballot right.”

“This apparent typo just has everyone confused and believing these are invalid ballots,” he added. “It’s absolutely outrageous that when everyone is watching them, they still screw up the most basic thing, which is printing the ballot correctly.”

The development is the latest in a string of concerning reports about voting by mail and possible election fraud.

On Sunday evening, an undercover Project Veritas video exposed an operative allegedly linked to to freshman Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) bragging on Instagram of numerous ballots he acquired. President Donald Trump on Monday weighed in on the video, urging state officials to launch an investigation into the alleged ballot harvesting scheme in Minneapolis.

“This is totally illegal,” the president wrote on Twitter. “Hope that the U.S. Attorney in Minnesota has this, and other of her many misdeeds, under serious review??? If not, why not???”

Last week, Breitbart News reported that over 1,000 Virginia voters who sought an absentee ballot to vote received an additional ballot via mail.

“We knew the Democrats’ many last-minute changes to our election law would make our elections less secure, but no one could imagine voters receiving two ballots,” Virginia Republican Party chairman Rich Anderson said in a statement.

Coalition of black pastors rips Kamala Harris for celebrating 'brilliance' of Black Lives Matter founders

'Disheartening to see a U.S. Senator and a candidate for vice president give such high praise to a group that is trying to destroy our country'

A group of black pastors slammed Democratic vice presidential nominee Sen. Kamala Harris (Calif.) on Friday for praising the so-called "brilliance" of the Black Lives Matter founders, the Christian Post reported.

During an interview with CNN commentator Angela Rye for the NAACP's Fall Leadership Conference, Harris lauded the "brilliance" of Black Lives Matter co-founders Patrisse Cullors, Alicia Garza, and Opal Tometi, the Post said.

Praising the co-founders' "brilliance in conceiving [BLM]," Harris told Rye that one day people would see BLM as "an inflection point in the ongoing fight for justice … and to reform the criminal justice system."

"I actually believe as a former prosecutor that Black Lives Matter has been the most significant agent for change within the criminal justice system," Harris said, "because it has been a counterforce to the force within the system that is so grounded in status quo and in its own traditions, many of which have been harmful and have been discriminatory in the way that they have been enforced."

She went on to describe the BLM protests — many of which have become violent — "as an essential component of evolution in our country" and "as essential component or mark of a real democracy" and "as necessary — the people's voices must be heard."

Why? Because "nothing that we have achieved that has been about progress in our country has come without a fight," she said.

The Conservative Clergy of Color, a group of black pastors, took serious issue with Harris' praise for the Black Lives Matter movement and its founders.

What did the coalition say?

In a statement to the Post, the coalition's co-founder Bishop Aubrey Shines said BLM is not an organization Harris should be commending in any way.

"It's extremely disheartening to see a U.S. Senator and a candidate for vice president give such high praise to a group that is trying to destroy our country," Shines told the Post.

"Does Sen. Harris not watch the news? Has she not seen the businesses burning, the livelihoods that have been wrecked by this organization?" the pastor asked. "People are terrified, but we have to praise the organizers because it's the cool thing to do."

Shines went on to point out that BLM has recently tried to scrub much of its more insidious agenda from its public face. As TheBlaze reported last week, the group was caught removing anti-nuclear family and "cisgender privilege" content from is statement of beliefs.

"Until recently these people made no secret about their agenda. They were loud and proud about their anti-American goals until the violence they've instigated started affecting their favorability," Shines continued in the statement to the Post. "The only 'brilliant' thing I can see is how quickly BLM's website operators scrubbed their agenda to be more appealing. This is not a group that needs to be praised. More Americans are beginning to see that, and I hope Sen. Harris will too."

China Begins Massive New Military Drills in Four Neighboring Seas - Report

For the second time in two months, China is holding massive military drills in all four seas on its eastern border.

This week, the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) is hosting five military drills at sea: two in the South China Sea, one in the East China Sea and two in the Yellow Sea, one of which is in the Bohai Sea, the waterway’s innermost gulf, Reuters reported. According to the report, many of the drills will feature live-fire exercises.

Just last month, the PLA held similarly large drills, which the Chinese Ministry of Defense said did not target any specific country. However, a US U-2 “Dragon Lady” spy plane flew directly through one of the drills in the Yellow Sea, despite a no-fly zone being established by Beijing as a safety precaution. The Chinese Ministry of Defense blasted the move as “pure provocation,” noting the incident had disrupted the drills and could easily have led to misunderstandings.

This month’s exercises, which will extend into early October, come amid a pronounced uptick in US military activity in the Pacific, particularly in the waters close to China. Sputnik has documented how several American spy plane flights zigzag across the South China Sea and Yellow Sea daily, sometimes disguising themselves as civilian aircraft in an attempt to fool onlookers. The US has also led the huge Rim of the Pacific naval drills off the Hawaiian coast and Valiant Shield exercises in the Philippine Sea near Guam.

Collin Koh, a research fellow from the S Rajaratnam School of International Studies at Singapore’s Nanyang Technological University, told the South China Morning Post that China’s drills aim to demonstrate “resolve in keeping up with peacetime combat preparations in the eyes of both domestic public and external audiences.”

“The move would be primarily directed at the recent spate of US and allied military activities in those areas,” Koh said. “Operationally, it’s to showcase the PLA’s ability to carry out major mobilisation of forces for training across multiple sea areas – which also highlights that the PLA isn’t affected in any way by the pandemic.”

The PLA Navy has been increasingly drilling its first aircraft carrier, the Liaoning, and its newer indigenously designed carrier, the Shandong, together in the Yellow Sea. Meanwhile, its third carrier, known only as the Type 002, is under construction in Shanghai, alongside another carrier and several Type 075 helicopter carriers in various states of completion. The PLA Navy is already larger than the US Navy, with plans to steadily increase in both size and modernization.

Why is it so important to keep all these secrets from the past? Just consider this: Mountbatten introduced his big pal Jimmy Savile, the vicious serial child rapist, to Prince Charles. Charles then invited Savile into his office to help him draft speeches. Charles is guilty of associations just as heinous as Andrew’s, and of allowing them even closer to the seat of power.

People of Praise Accuser Has Long History Of Far-Fetched Lawsuits and Online Partisanship

Track record casts doubt on her credibility

An Oregon woman with widely aired allegations against the People of Praise, a Christian charismatic group to which Supreme Court nominee Amy Coney Barrett is connected, has a track record of hyper-partisan online posting, farfetched lawsuits, and fantastic grievance peddling that casts doubt on her credibility.

In the days following the late Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg's death, Coral Anika Theill's lurid descriptions of life in the group's Corvallis, Ore., branch appeared in Reuters, Politico, the Washington Post, and Newsweek, among other publications. A review of Theill's writings, litigation history, and social media footprint shows that Theill has accused her own children, her parents, her therapists, and her attorneys of abuse and neglect, while waging a quixotic legal crusade against them since the late 1990s. Her ex-husband, Vaughn Martin Warner, obtained a defamation judgment against her in 2014.

Theill's quick and unscrutinized emergence continues a trend of bungled coverage of Barrett's religious practices by Democrats and parts of the establishment press. Her ascendance mirrors that of Tara Reade and Julie Swetnick, whose allegations against Joe Biden and Brett Kavanaugh, respectively, enjoyed a wide hearing in the media before complicating evidence materialized.

Personal blog posts and Theill's memoir liken life within the People of Praise to Margaret Atwood's novel The Handmaid's Tale. Among other charges, Theill says members of the community shunned her socially, made her sit on the floor during group meetings, and closely observed how she spent her time. Theill writes that she and her husband joined the Corvallis, Ore., branch of the People of Praise in 1979, but that chapter was not established until 1982, according to a spokesman for the group.

"Neither the men nor women leaders in the People of Praise Corvallis branch are aware that there were ever any allegations of physical or mental abuse concerning Ms. Theill and her husband at the time," People of Praise spokesman Sean Connolly told the Washington Free Beacon. "Her charges of the mistreatment of women, insularity, lack of privacy and shunning are contradictory to our beliefs and our practices as a community."

Theill's memoir BONSHEÁ: Making Light of the Dark casts her 20-year marriage as an unending conflict against a revolving set of religious antagonists. She describes an unhappy home life with a domineering and sexually needy husband whom she accuses of regular physical and psychological abuse. She also accuses her children of complicity in her ex-husband's alleged predations. By Theill's telling, her husband asked their older children to surveil her and report on supposed infractions, giving them "more and more authority over my life."

Man Convicted of Racketeering Conspiracy for Laundering MILLIONS in International Cyber Fraud Scheme

A Bulgarian national was found guilty today for his role in a transnational and multi-million dollar scheme to defraud American victims through online auction fraud.

Rossen Iossifov, 53, formerly of Bulgaria, was convicted by a federal jury in Frankfort, Kentucky of one count of conspiracy to commit racketeering and one count of conspiracy to commit money laundering after a two-week trial.

According to court documents and evidence presented at trial, Iossifov and his co-conspirators participated in a criminal conspiracy that engaged in a large-scale scheme of online auction fraud that victimized at least 900 Americans. Specifically, Romania-based members of the conspiracy posted false advertisements to popular online auction and sales websites—such as Craigslist and eBay—for high-cost goods (typically vehicles) that did not actually exist. Members of the conspiracy would convince American victims to send money for the advertised goods by crafting persuasive narratives, for example, by impersonating a military member who needed to sell the advertised item before deployment.

According to court documents, members of the conspiracy created fictitious online accounts to post these advertisements and communicate with victims, often using the stolen identities of Americans to do so. They also delivered invoices to the victims bearing trademarks of reputable companies in order to make the transaction appear legitimate. Members of the conspiracy also set up call centers, impersonating customer support, to address questions and alleviate concerns over the advertisements.

According to court documents, once victims were convinced to send payment, the conspiracy participants engaged in a complicated money laundering scheme wherein domestic associates would accept victim funds, convert these funds to cryptocurrency, and transfer proceeds in the form of cryptocurrency to foreign-based money launderers.

According to evidence presented at trial, Iossifov was the owner of RG Coins, a Bulgaria-based Bitcoin exchange. From at least September 2015 to at least December 2018, he exchanged cryptocurrency into local fiat currency on behalf of the Romania-based members of the conspiracy, knowing that the Bitcoin represented the proceeds of illegal activity. According to trial testimony, for example, in just the span of about two and a half years, Iossifov exchanged over $4.9 million worth of Bitcoin for just four other members of the criminal enterprise.

Seventeen total defendants have been convicted in this case. Three others are fugitives.

Actual Russians Involved in the Russia Collusion Scam Were Never Investigated – Is This Due to Their Connections with the UK and Ukraine?

On June 30, 2019, we reported that Ilya Zaslavskiy was likely one of the ‘Russians’ used as a source in the Steele dossier. We made this assertion based on the following:

1. He hobnobs with British royalty and senior UK politicians

2. He has been with the Chatham House for several years (these first two items indicate connections to MI6)

3. The UK government paid for his education, travel, housing, in and advanced degrees

4. He is Natalia Budaeva’s old associate and worked with her through 2016 on a number of political activities in the US.

5. Between 2013 and 2019 he generated over 1300 intelligence reports about Russia for MI6 and State.

6. In 2016 he regularly provided MI6 with field reports from the US that were collected by the anti-Trump alliance of Ukrainian and several anti-Putin NGOs and other political organization including Chalupa’s action groups.

7. He was in the US from June to November 2016 on a tour to heavily prompt the dossier. While here, he had a number of interviews with MSM that were dedicated to Trump’s collusion with Russia.

Today we have some additional information on Zaslavskiy.

Zaslavskiy is a Russian from the UK that came over to the US in late 2016 and was with the help of Natalia Arno (the president of the Free Russia Foundation) promoting the Russian collusion narrative with some of the leading politicians in Washington, D.C. and sharing with the media “Compromising materials on Trump and relations with the Kremlin”.

We know that Zaslavskiy was at Voice of America and he talked about Trump – Russia collusion a few days before the 2016 election. He then bragged about it on the social media:

We also note some unique pictures from Zaslavskiy’s friend at the Free Russia Foundation, that were taken only a few days after the infamous Trump Tower meeting with Donald Trump Jr in June 2016. A few days after that event, two participants who were also at the Trump Tower meeting, Natalia Veselnitskaya and Rinat Akmetshin, were photographed by Natilia Budaeva at an event in D.C. Why did Budaeva take these pictures and post to her social media?

We don’t know who was working for who. We do know anti-Trumpers in the US and the UK who were raised in Russia inserted themselves into the Russia collusion sham.

Based on what we do know though, these people should probably not be allowed to run around the US capital for much longer.

Just Jeans, Smiggle owner slammed as ‘unethical’

One of Australia’s largest retailers has been slammed as “unethical” for posting record profits while taking up to six months to pay suppliers.

Premier Investments, which owns shopping centre staples including Just Jeans, Smiggle and Peter Alexander, has rarely been out of the headlines in the last few weeks.

Last Friday, the firm, chaired by retail veteran Solomon Lew, announced a 29 per cent surge in profits to $137.8 million.

That’s despite the company being a major beneficiary of taxpayers’ cash through the JobKeeper wage subsidy program designed to keep people in work during the coronavirus pandemic.

While banking some big bucks, Premier has also cried poor saying it could close up to 350 stores unless its rents come down while declaring landlords “will be responsible for job losses” if the shops shut.

The company, that also owns Portmans, Dotti and Jay Jays, also refused to pay rent on any store in April after it closed all of them during the national lockdown.

But Premier has defended its actions saying there was “unprecedented uncertainty” from the pandemic which led them to seek “support from suppliers for temporary flexibility in payment terms”.

It says it has “progressed towards” usual terms but some reports have said that could still be up to four months from delivery to payment.

Biden Dodged $500K In Taxes By Exploiting Loophole

Since the left is now in histrionics over President Trump's perfectly legal use of the US tax code to avoid paying taxes for 10 out of the last 15 years, perhaps they'll give as much attention to Joe Biden - who used another perfectly legal tax 'loophole' to avoid approximately $500,000 in payroll taxes on $15 million in income.

Of course, they ignored it in July when the Wall Street Journal reported that Joe and Jill Biden took advantage of the "S corporation" payroll tax loophole that the Obama-Biden administration unsuccessfully attempted to close.

According to the report, the Bidens routed income from book sales and speeches through S corporations - avoiding the 3.8% self-employment tax they would have paid if they had been compensated directly, and avoiding as much as $500,000 in taxes.

"There’s no reason for these to be in an S corp—none, other than to save on self-employment tax," accountant Tony Nitti told the WSJ at the time.

And as the Journal's Chris Jacobs wrote last month, "According to the Urban Institute, a couple featuring one high earner and one average earner, retiring this year, will have paid a total of $209,000 in Medicare taxes during their working lives."

"The Bidens avoided paying nearly twice that much in Medicare taxes during two years."

Meanwhile, the Las Vegas Review-Journal suggests Biden is a hypocrite - as the former Vice President has been an outspoken opponent of such loopholes since Ronald Reagan was in office.

Per current tax law, S-corporation owners can legally avoid paying the 3.8 percent self-employment tax on their profits as long as they pay themselves “reasonable compensation” that is subject to regular payroll taxes. The IRS definition of “reasonable compensation” is a tad fuzzy, however, which led to the Bidens reporting less than $800,000 salary on their reported $13 million in combined profits. -Las Vegas Review-Journal
