i got a rural tarm I work mith one of my sons.
I live near a big metropolis.
never wore a mask because I have a microbio degreee and smelled fuckery afoot.
the primary people driving this are:
1) large corporations issuing orders to try and be legal across 50 states (impossible)
2) boomers and some GenXers who only watch CNN, etc.
3) a ton of 'Karens' who just can't abide people 'disobeying'
I go in maskless. If confronted by a store manager, I simply ask if I can shop and maintain my distance. If I get a 'no', I leave and find my stuff elsewhere.
At my farm, the nearest town is 600 people, the county seat is 6500 - they do NOT enforce anything because the economy is already struggling. If masks get pushed, it has been by terrified boomers.
A few weeks back I got accosted by a Karen in a parking lot. She started screaming at me while her pussy husband sorta stood there. I told him he needed to put a leash on his woman before she got hurt. She started screaming even more, all about Trump (I was wearing overalls and a t-shirt) and crazy stuff. The husband sort of glared at me and took a step.
All I said then was that I practiced my 2nd amendment rights, and walked back towards the farm truck.
They scooted away and into Tractor Supply.
