I read the police reports and watched the available video. Looks like a fair amount of ass covering by the police to me and a fair amount of siding with the woman SOLELY on her word. The cop stated things as fact that he has no evidence to support. Brad wasn't even given a chance to relate his view of matters ... only her.

He was told to get down 4 times in 2 seconds from behind. He had ZERO opportunity to verify who was giving the instructions. He was KNOWN not to be armed. He was drunk on his own property and showing no signs of belligerence while speaking quite reasonably to the only officer he saw. You, sir, are full of shit.

No fucking chance to comply even if he understood the meaning and that the instruction was directed toward him by someone in authority. Yelling "get on the ground" as you launch yourself at someone who is already speaking calmly with another officer (the only officer he was aware was even on the property!) is well over the top. I hope Brad cleans out the city's checkbook and that cop's retirement account.
