DOJ “Collusion”: How Hillary Clinton Is Avoiding Her Testimony

“It’s pretty clear that they[the DOJ and State Department] are colluding with Clinton’s lawyers,” Tom Fittonstated in last week’s Weekly Update.

Judicial Watch is undeterred by Hillary Clinton’s appeal to avoid testimony on her unresolved email scandal.“I can announce to you today that we will appeal that decision over her testimony,” Fitton stated in reference to Hillary Clinton’s appeal to avoid testifying about her use of a private server during her tenure as secretary of state.

Appealing her appeal, Judicial Watch is seeking to ensure Hillary testifies in accordance with her court-ordered deposition originally scheduled for May of this year by Judge Lamberth, the United States District Judge for the District of Columbia. While the DOJ is unlikely to overturn her appeal, in Fitton’s view, the Department did previously side with Judicial Watch “agreeing with that she shouldn’t be able to benefit from this extraordinary mandamus relief,” a position Fitton described as “outrageous.”

As Fitton explained:

“People think that President Trump’s appointees are on on our side, but they’ve been captured by the deep state it’s pretty clear, otherwise we wouldn’t have the cover up we’re facing and disclosing to you,”

The “taxpayers dollars burned and wasted” to defend Clinton are not just about protecting her from scrutiny, Fitton argued. “It’s also about protecting the agencies from accountability.”

As the Judicial Watch President concluded, “we’ll see what Judge Lamberth does and whether he shuts it all down. The case shows you how hard it is for Judicial Watch to work for justice.

As you might recall, Clinton’s defense team sought to prevent “the depositions of Clintons’ former chief of staff, Cheryl Mills as well as current and former State Department technology officials,” Fitton explained. “As we argue, the ruling did not bar the deposition of Mills or any other witness.”

Support Judicial Watch today if you’re concerned with the Trump DOJ’s apparent “collusion” with Hiilary Clinton’s lawyers.

Netanyahu at UN reveals Hezbollah arms depot in Beirut, warns of fresh ‘tragedy’

In address to General Assembly, PM says another deadly blast possible, urges residents to ‘act now’; predicts other Arab countries will make peace with Israel ‘very soon’

Addressing the United Nations General Assembly, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Tuesday revealed a secret arms depot belonging to the Iranian-backed Hezbollah near Beirut’s International Airport, warning of another catastrophic explosion and calling on the Lebanese people to protest against the terror group and its Iranian sponsors.

“We all saw the terrible explosion at Beirut port last month,” he said in a pre-recorded statement broadcast to UN delegates, referring to August 4’s huge blast that devastated the Lebanese capital.

He pointed to the site of the blast on a map displayed next to his podium. “The explosion happened here. This is the Beirut port. Two hundred people died, thousands of people were injured, and a quarter of a million people were made homeless,” he said.

“Now, here is where the next explosion could take place. Right here. This is the Beirut neighborhood of Janah. It’s right next to the international airport. And here, Hezbollah is keeping a secret arms depot.”

Heavy Casualties as Nagorno-Karabakh Fighting Continues

Clashes could cause a wider regional conflict

Fighting that erupted on Sunday between Azerbaijan and ethnic Armenians in the contested mountain enclave of Nagorno-Karabakh continued throughout Monday.

Officials in Nagorno-Karabakh said 26 more of their soldiers were killed on Monday evening, bringing the total of dead Nagorno-Karabakh troops to 84. Eleven civilians have been reported killed in the fighting, nine on the Azerbaijan side, and two on the Armenian side. So far, no Azeri military casualties have been reported.

Armenia and Azerbaijan, both post-Soviet states, have been locked in a territorial dispute over Nagorno-Karabakh for decades.

After heavy fighting killed thousands in the early 1990s, a ceasefire was declared in 1994. While there have been flare-ups since the ceasefire, these latest clashes are the heaviest the region has seen since 1994.

The fighting risks sparking a wider regional conflict, with Turkey throwing its support behind Azerbaijan. On Monday, Turkey President Recep Tayyip Erdogan demanded Armenia end its “occupation” of Nagorno-Karabakh.

Russia has a mutual defense pact with Armenia and has military bases in the country. But Moscow also enjoys friendly ties with Azerbaijan and does not seem interested in getting drawn into the conflict. Russia urged both sides to show restraint and called for a ceasefire in Nagorno-Karabakh.

Netanyahu: Coronavirus lockdown to last at least a month

Edelstein warns religious community not to host guests in their sukkahs * Nearly 800 people in serious condition

Israel’s current coronavirus lockdown will last at least a month, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu clarified Tuesday during a Facebook briefing. During that time, he said, the government will prepare a proper exit strategy.

"I want to be honest - it will not be less than a month. It may take much longer,” the prime minister said.

https://www.jpost.com/health-science/coronavirus-lockdown-to-last-more-than-10-days-643808

He then verbally presented a number of his goals for the next few weeks, similar to those that he had released in a statement after Yom Kippur: preparing the health system, ensuring the public wears masks, implementing rapid tests and, of course, reducing the country’s rate of infection.

He stressed that the number of patients is climbing fast.

“There are more than 800 serious patients,” Netanyahu said. “The number of dead is also rising.”

According to the Health Ministry, 1,151 people tested positive on Yom Kippur - a small number, but close to 15% of the less than 9,000 people screened for the virus. The number of serious patients stood at 778 at press time, including 203 who were intubated.

Thirteen people died between midnight and press time on Tuesday, bringing the death toll to 1,523.

Israel surpassed the United States in the number of deaths per day from coronavirus in relation to the population, a report by the Coronavirus National Information and Knowledge Center revealed on Tuesday.

"I do not remember a Yom Kippur holiday as difficult as it was this year,” Dr. Masad Barhoum, director-general of Galilee Medical Center in Nahariya said Tuesday. He said that the number of serious and intubated patients in his facility is increasing and they are considering opening a fifth coronavirus ward.

"We are moving from fighting coronavirus to battling on three fronts,” the director-general continued: “fighting coronavirus, fighting the flu ahead of the winter season and fighting to protect our patients.”

He said hospital patients are often surrounded by visitors and it is hard to know in advance who carries the virus.

Barhoum added that he thinks the current closure is “breathing too much,” and needs to be further tightened in order to stop the spread of the virus.

During his Facebook briefing, Netanyahu was asked about the exit strategy, including if and when the education system might open. He spoke only about first and second graders returning to school in capsules and not older children.

Ignoring Clinton Charity Frauds To Attack Trump for Paying Taxes: Ortel

Yesterday, the New York Times published 10,000 empty words on Donald Trump’s taxes, a barrage of self-inflicted wounds gutting the integrity of the editorial staff and management of this publicly traded, yet family influenced company. Yet it was not an effective indictment of any Trump family member.

It is not a crime to offset losses against income, a fact that has been true for decades. And, it is profit-seeking businesses, and their owners and employees that produce the bulk of taxable income, yielding revenue needed to defray expenses of government.

Over decades, generations of Trumps employed thousands of New Yorkers directly and indirectly producing incomes and spending that filled tax coffers at federal, state, city and county level. But instead of cultivating the Trump family and other profit-seekers, city and state government officials decided to persecute them, something Mayor DeBlasio and Governor Cuomo II, seemingly delight in doing.

A Welcome Mat for Grifters

While the Trump family hails from the Empire State, Bill and Hillary Clinton formally arrived there officially as a pair of carpetbaggers from Washington, DC in 2001, having plucked their previous domiciles clean.

Like her predecessor Eric Schneiderman, New York Attorney General Tish James relentlessly pounds the Trump family for charity offenses but so far has turned a blind eye to the biggest illegal enrichment scheme using "charities" since Tammany Hall.

Meanwhile, editors at The New York Times refuse to look through publicly available filings concerning a supposed charity now called "The Bill, Hillary & Chelsea Clinton Foundation" that began hustling in New York in 1998, while the Clinton's and their lawyers needed vast sums to fend off impeachment, and pay overdue legal bills.

When it comes to the Trumps, authorities enforce strict laws regulating charities and their money-raising appeals, but not so for the Clintons. This is especially true of Robert Mueller and James Comey, who "missed" the early period of Clinton charity fraud, when they "investigated" the Clinton Foundation with grand juries from 2001 to 2005, according to documents available online at the FBI Vault website.

By 2005, Bill Clinton boasted in the paperback edition of his book on page 958 that he spent time since January 2001: "building my library in Arkansas and my foundation in Harlem."

But hard facts suggest otherwise.

Documents available in Arkansas and on the Clinton Foundation website prove that the original entity The William J. Clinton Presidential Foundation operated from 23 October 1997 through 22 December 1997 without adopting Bylaws, in violation of Arkansas state law. This is not a minor, technical matter.

The crucial organizing document makes clear that the original nonprofit corporation was intended to be a public charity. Public charities must formally exist and cannot be governed by one family or used to raise sums from corrupt donors looking to purchase influence.

So how, for example, did Bill and Hillary Clinton select a specific site for "their" foundation in Arkansas on Nov. 7, 1997 as a C-SPAN interview of Skip Rutherford (first president of Clinton Foundation) claims? Bill did not become a trustee or director of any Clinton charity until 2009, while Hillary waited until 2013.

US Offers $20Mln in Rewards for Info Leading to Arrest of 3 Ex-Venezuelan Officials, Pompeo Says

The United States is offering rewards of up to $20 million in total for information that lead to the arrest of three former Venezuelan public officials, US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo announced in a statement on Tuesday.

"Today, the US Department of State announces rewards of up to $10 million for information leading to the arrest and/or conviction of Venezuelan national Pedro Luis Martin-Olivares and up to $5 million each for information leading to the arrests and/or convictions of Venezuelan nationals Rodolfo McTurk-Mora and Jesus Alfredo Itriago", Pompeo said.

The secretary of state noted that the former Venezuelan public officials are fugitives from justice.

Last week, the US announced new sanctions against Maduro, imposed over his cooperation with Iran.

A lot of the Western sanctions introduced against Venezuela have targeted the country's state-run oil and gas company Petroleos de Venezuela (PDVSA) and its subsidiaries in an attempt to seize its foreign assets and prevent the firm from completing transactions.

On 22 September, the US Treasury Department's Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) announced fresh sanctions against five Venezuelan individuals. The Treasury Department said they were current or former members of the Venezuelan government who had colluded with Maduro in a scheme to manipulate the parliamentary elections and to undermine any credible opposition challenge to the government. Maduro condemned the sanctions, calling them illegal.

In January 2019, Venezuela plunged into a political crisis when the then-head of the opposition-controlled National Assembly, Juan Guaido, proclaimed himself interim president in a bid to oust re-elected President Maduro from power. The United States and most Western countries endorsed Guaido and slapped crippling sanctions on Venezuela. Russia, China, Turkey, and other nations supported Maduro.

Majority of voters think Biden has used his political career to enrich his family and friends

Less than 30% of voters believe otherwise.

A majority of U.S. voters say former Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden has used his decades-long political career to enrich his family and close friends, according to a new Just the News Daily Poll with Scott Rasmussen.

When asked, 57% of voters said it was either "somewhat" or "very" likely that Biden's inner circle has profited from his nearly 50-years-long career in public office, which includes the elected positions of U.S senator and vice president. Just 28% said they doubted such profiting.

Noting parallels between Biden and 2016 Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton, Rasmussen said: "In 2016, the Clinton campaign acted as if all they had to do to win was point out the ethical failings of Donald Trump. They failed to see the reality that many voters also saw Clinton as fundamentally corrupt. In fact, the baseline view for many voters is that ALL politicians are corrupt."

"Studies after Election 2016 showed that Trump spoke more about issues than Clinton did," he continued. "And that helped him win. This year, it will be more challenging for the president because he has a record to defend. But Biden will make a significant mistake if he fails to recognize that voters see this as an elections between two politicians with ethical challenges."

The survey of 1,200 Registered Voters was conducted by Rasmussen using a mixed mode approach from September 24-26, 2020.

Armenian PM says Azerbaijan’s operation in Karabakh was plotted during drills with Turkey

The situation in Nagorno-Karabakh escalated on September 27

\MOSCOW, September 29. /TASS/. Azerbaijan’s operation in Nagorno-Karabakh was plotted during joint drills with Turkey, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said on Tuesday.

"Azerbaijan must immediately stop its aggression against Nagorno-Karabakh and Armenia because it was unleashed by Azerbaijan," he said in an interview with the 60 Minutes program on the Rossiya-1 television channel. "This operation was planned beforehand and there are no doubts that this operation was plotted during joint drill with the Turkish armed forces."

The situation in Nagorno-Karabakh escalated on September 27, when Azerbaijan said its positions had come under extensive fire from Armenia. Armenia, in turn, said the Azerbaijani army had staged an offensive in the direction of Nagorno-Karabakh. It said a number of settlements in Nagorno-Karabakh, including its administrative center Stepanakert, had come under shelling by Azerbaijan. Both sides report casualties, including among civilians. Both Armenia and Azerbaijan have imposed martial law and announced mobilization.

Ukraine signs memorandum supporting Babyn Yar Holocaust Memorial Center

Global leaders mark 79th anniversary of massacre

On the 79th anniversary of the Babyn Yar massacre, Ukraine’s government signed a memorandum of understanding and cooperation with the Babyn Yar Holocaust Memorial Center (BYHMC) to promote the construction of a fitting memorial to the tragedy.

During an online memorial ceremony new research was presented, revealing previously unknown details of the Babyn Yar massacre.

The Babyn Yar tragedy was one of the largest instances of mass murder during the Holocaust. There were 33,771 Jewish victims who were shot at the Babyn Yar ravine by the Nazis in just two days – September 29-30, 1941 – while tens of thousands of Ukrainians, Roma, mentally ill, and others were shot thereafter throughout the occupation of Kyiv.

The memorandum on the memorial was signed by Ukraine’s Culture and Information Policy Minister Olexsandr Tkachenko and BYHMC supervisory board member Ronald S. Lauder. The signing took place at Babyn Yar after the official memorial ceremony commemorating the anniversary.

“We must not forget the tragedy of Babyn Yar. We understand that this is the history not only of Ukraine and of the Jewish people, but a tragic history of the whole world,” said Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky, who attended the official memorial ceremony.

“People, especially youth, should be able to come and see the place where thousands of Jews were shot, to really remember one of the greatest tragedies of the twentieth century. We must all understand that this cannot happen in the modern world, or in the future.”

Lauder, who is also the President of the World Jewish Congress, said, “This was one of the greatest mass murders in history, and then a second crime – covering it all up. Almost 80 years after this happened, these tortured souls will finally be remembered with an International Memorial Museum – a museum that will also tell the history of the Holocaust. Ukraine takes a giant step forward today – towards remembrance and towards justice. We have never forgotten, and now the entire world, thanks to all of you, will not forget either.”

The Death Of Q-Anon? Bartiromo Reports Durham Report 'Unlikely' to Be Released Before Election

The Department of Justice has successfully stalled for nearly four years without lifting a finger to hold any higher-ups accountable for any of the crimes committed during the Obama administration.

A phony Q-Anon psy-op has been used for around three years now to drag people along with the idea indictments of Hillary, Comey, Brennan, Obama and so on are just around the corner.

Maria Bartiromo on her show Sunday reported it's not going to happen.

"It is unlikely that we will get a John Durham interim report OR any indictments before the election, now just 37 days away," Bartiromo said on her show.

"A debate has begun within the Department of Justice as the timing of John Durham's criminal investigation conclusions," she said. "I'm being told by sources it is now too close to the election and could be viewed as politically motivated."

Despite her saying it's not coming before the election, Fox News and Senator Lindsey Graham are still stringing people along.

Fox News comically titled their video, "Day of reckoning is coming, stay tuned: Graham on Russia probe origins."

I've been predicting this for a while now. Here's what I wrote in Jan 2020 after the DOJ let Hillary Clinton off the hook:

It's amazing how those Q-Anon believing folks still think mass prosecutions are just around the corner. While it's technically possible John Durham could find some sort of malfeasance, so far Barr seems to just be running down the clock.

Barr claimed in November that Jeffrey Epstein died due to a "perfect storm of screw-ups" and the evidence showed he hanged himself.

Nikola Founder Trevor Milton Accused Of Sexual Assault By Two Women

Nikola (NKLA) founder Trevor Milton has found himself under more scrutiny as he has been accused of sexual assault by two women, who were 15-years-old at the time of the alleged acts, CNBC reported.

Milton, who resigned from hydrogen-electric truck maker Nikola in mid-September after a damaging report by Hindenburg Research claimed he defrauded investors, has denied the claims. Milton stepped down from his position as chairman shortly after the report was released, and an investigation by the Securities and Exchange Commission and Department of Justice was initiated.

One of the women, Aubrey Ferrin Smith, a cousin to Milton, claimed on Twitter and Facebook that he groped her bare breast after a family funeral in Salt Lake City in 1999. She was 15 at the time, and he was 17-years-old. Ferrin Smith has now filed a formal complaint with the police in Holladay, Utah, where the alleged incident took place, CNBC reported.

The second alleged incident took place when Milton was 22. At the time, he had hired a 15-year-old girl as an office assistant at a security company he operated in St. George, Utah, Craig Johnson, the attorney representing the women, told the news outlet.

“The allegation by my client is that he digitally penetrated her vagina with his fingers, which under Utah law constitutes object rape, and that is the charge the police will be investigating, in addition to forcible sexual abuse, which includes any ancillary touching of the vagina during the assault,” Johnson said in an interview with CNBC.

Brandon Messina, a spokesman for Milton, told CNBC that Milton denies the claims against him. He said: “Mr. Milton strongly denies these false allegations. At no point in his life has Mr. Milton ever engaged in any inappropriate physical contact with anyone.”

Democracy and Judgement Are Dying in the Light

The Washington Post was first published in 1877 and is a fine newspaper in spite of its sometimes swivel-eyed intolerance of all things Russian. Its admirable motto is ‘Democracy Dies in Darkness’ and it often succeeds in throwing light on domestic and international affairs that might otherwise remain shrouded in veils of official secrecy. Democracy is generally defined as “a system of government by the whole population… typically through elected representatives” and its wider effects are that national and international policies are accepted by foreign countries as reflecting the voice of the people.

At the moment, however, the Post and other responsible media are having difficulty in coming to terms with the fact that in the United States both sagacious judgement and democracy are under severe threat, no matter what rays the media may be directing on the machinations and spine-chilling utterances of President Trump and his disciples. It is all too evident — and deplorable — that the U.S. is splitting apart. The country is unable to cope with the combined effects of the Covid-19 pandemic, nation-wide protests against police brutality and systematic racism, and, in the latest drama, political immaturity and hypocrisy in appointment of a Justice to the Supreme Court.

It is fair to say that all nations are facing an array of unprecedented problems, but given the status and power of the U.S. it might be expected that Trump would be charting a way ahead, setting an example to the rest of the world as to how to cope with and overcome the crises that beset us all. Some hope.

The executive, legislative, and judicial branches of government in Washington are in lockdown. Not an anti-virus lockdown, but an ideological and practical paralysis caused in the main by presidential posturing, malevolence and ignorance. This would not be of great importance to the rest of the world were it not for the fact that the U.S. is a mighty power whose policies are felt in the farthest corners of the globe and affect billions of lives. This has long been the case, but rarely has there been such a high degree of sensitivity to Washington’s decisions and actions. The international community is apprehensive concerning what might happen next, and wonders what ripples, waves or tsunamis of Trump-engendered disruption may crash against their shores.

In the past there has generally been realisation in Washington that cooperation with other nations is beneficial and that unilateral action is usually counterproductive. This has not stopped administrations from taking such action, with catastrophic consequences, as in Operation Iraqi Freedom which resulted in destabilisation of the entire Middle East, with resulting alienation of allies which is a most undesirable outcome.

A new book, ‘JFK: Coming of Age in the American Century, 1917-1956’ by Fredrik Logevall (an excellent work of research, analysis and perceptive judgment) quotes a 1951 speech by then Congressman John Kennedy in which he said “I should have hoped that with our traditional concern for other peoples, our generosity, our desire to relieve poverty and inequality, we would — whatever else happened — have made friends throughout this world. It is tragic that not only have we made no new friends but have lost old ones.” But in the Trump years such regrets are a dim memory, because his venomous arrogance is such that “friends”, be they people or nations, are regarded as ephemeral accessories, mere lackeys tasked to do his bidding before being discarded when of no further use.
