Absolutely
God purposes what He will. Can the clay say to.the potter, "why did you make me?" God never chooses any human because of any merit they possess , He chooses them because of His mercy and because that's what He wants to do. He's the Creator, so He can do anything He wants with His Creation. Give thanks that He chose (you), anon.
I would like to know too. This is the only answer I've ever come up with.
