The more I think about this and POTUS comments about soldiers loving him but the brass, not so much makes me wonder if there might be something to it.
We know that a lot of senior officers are corrupt as hell. Just look at the Fat Leonard scandal:

Over 60 ADMIRALS!!. Not some rank and file, ADMIRALS! Let that sink in. War is good business for business. The cabal has been waging wars for fun and profit for centuries.
What is the business of the military? Waging war. Stands to reason that endless, pointless war is a good reason for corrupt military officers to side with the cabal to keep the gravy train on the tracks.
