Biden was forced to roll back on commitments the extreme left of the party are expecting him to deliver. The Ds have seriously miscalculated over the last decade - embracing the identity politics of freaks and ignoring the blue collar voter that was once the core. Blue collar is now mostly in Trump’s camp. So what do Ds have? The elite, the urban brainwashed and technerds, dwindling Blacks and Hispanic support, and the commies, who think that their route to power will come by taking over the D party. Joe lost lots of Bernie supporters tonight and their morale will continue to dwindle as they come to realize that they will never get their revolution through the ballot box. So the D party no longer has a cohesive (or even clearly definable) base and its coalition of interests is starting to unwind. Tonight you saw a notable step forward in the implosion of the D party. May they die swiftly.

Questions were a major part of the problem. For fucks sake, who needs another retread of Charlottesville? And the constant establishment narrative presuppositions on everything make it hard to have any meaningful debate - Trump knows it’s mostly bullshit but can’t say so overtly because he’ll be dismissed as a conspiracy theorist or some other -ist. So the whole endeavor is biased against a non establishment thinker from the outset. Then Wallace plays Biden’s defense counsel throughout and contributed much to the shitshow by preventing Trump from challenging Biden’s litany of lies and ignorance. All in all, not an edifying spectacle. But kudos to POTUS for having the ability to remain as calm and civil as he did. Most of us couldn’t manage 3 minutes, let alone 90!
