Doing a little diggin' on Gina Haspel. Read her CIA bio and thought - there are no coincidences. "After college, Gina worked as a contractor with the 10th Special Forces Group at Ft. Devens in Massachusetts. She ran the library and foreign language lab. The soldiers there made an impression, especially when it came to their global mission. Some of the soldiers (including a young Mike Vickers, who went on to become Under Secretary of Defense for Intelligence), mentioned the CIA to her. Gina came to understand that CIA was a place where women could serve doing clandestine work around the world."

So back to Haspel's confirmation paperwork: Her librarian days were Jan. 1980 to Oct. 1981 - during this timeframe Vickers was "an Army Special Forces sergeant, later became a commissioned officer, and then a CIA paramilitary operations officer. In the mid-1980s, Vickers became involved with Operation Cyclone, the CIA program to arm Islamist Mujahideen…"

Spitballing, but can't help but think that she was recruited - probably waaay back.

Fun fact in her Intelligence Committee confirmation report. She was investigated by John Durham in 2008 (Durham did not pursue criminal charges) for destruction of videotapes (related to enhanced interrogation??) AND was cleared by Mike Morrell.

What was Haspel’s role in attempting to discredit Bill Binney, the former NSA technical director who appeared at the CIA to brief Mike Pompeo at President Trump’s request. Binney has proof that the alleged Russian hack of the DNC is not what Obama’s intelligence chiefs said it was. While we’re at it—what exactly was Haspel’s role in the phony intelligence community assessment that the Russians intervened in the U.S. election to help elect Trump? The answers to these questions are central to ending the criminal coup against President Trump.
