Post office misplaces ballots; replacements on the way
Pettis County Clerk Nick La Strada said Wednesday that the U.S. Post Office misplaced some 1,200 absentee ballots sent to voters and that replacement ballots are on the way.
According to a press release from La Strada, on Monday, Sept. 21, the Pettis County Clerk's office delivered 1,200 ballots to the post office in Sedalia for delivery to voters. Some of those ballots were filled out and returned, but LaStrada says it became apparent from phone calls that several voters had not received their ballots.
