>>10870642 Cryptos Crash After BitMEX Founders, Execs Face CFTC Charges (lb notable)

Those assholes deserve it too.

The problem is that a lot of the regulations target little guys like me and my frens.

I just want to live a humble life after getting gains from investing in this promising and emerging sector.

It's bullshit that I should have to be subjected to illegal searches and/or seizures just because some assholes abuse the thing I consider investing in to.

No, I don't think assholes should get away with laundering drug/gun/human trafficking money or some shit like that. However, I don't think all of us little guys should be targeted similarly.

The US needs to get shit together and stop bunching us all in to make us look like criminal too.

All I want is a secure financial future for my family. Why do I have to be subjected to the same criminal treatment as these assholes, who set out from the very beginning to take advantage of what I know is valuable?

I'm glad those assholes got taken down, but I'm worried about public sentiment of the sector. I know most of you are stupid and still won't listen to us when we attempt to explain how promising investing in crypto is, but this shit really grinds my gears.

The whole point of DeFi is an immutable and public ledger which no one can "take down".

Governments cannot "eliminate all of crypto". That's not feasible.

Hell, parts of the government released the technology to us…

This is exactly why I made that comment.

So few of you comprehend the nature of crypto, how we got it, what all it can do and how it got where it is today - and that's exactly the point. It worries me to see how far the US is willing to go to damage the reputation of the emerging technology while claiming that it has promising features.

They know well enough that people like me are escaping the rat race daily and the idea of us paying less taxes than we would otherwise is the biggest reason that the character of crypto as a whole is purposefully being targeted.

I've considered before that these types of events happen solely to erode public trust in the sector so people won't understand how to or consider escaping wage slavery by understanding how crypto works and what it takes to make decent returns with it.

Anon, Credit has been digital currency all along.

You realize few people actually use paper cash these days, don't you?

Your central currencies have already been digital for decades now.

A straw man has been erected for you to target with your ignorant screeches.

Crypto boasts a decentralized ledger, which is exactly the thing that Central Banks DO NOT WANT. If everything is public and it can't be altered, then the banks cannot fix the value of the Euro or Dollar anywhere near as easily.

It's a shame that more of you have yet to realize this.

/ourguys/ gave us Blockchain technology. Governments across the world have been using it for quite some time, but once an expanded version that saw adoption broke through the private bubble that governments around the world had been keeping Blockchain in, most populations around the world were able to perceive the value of a decentralized ledger which the Banksters were no longer able to collar.

It's awful how little all of you still know about crytpo.

So many of you have fallen for the propaganda and, unfortunately, you're about to miss the spike again, meaning you'll have to wait another five years another time.

>if gov't chose, and they will, to eliminate their competition they will

I'm explaining how this is happening to you RIGHT NOW, anon.

That's literally my argument.

Something needs to be done about this and it needs to be done immediately.

Our governments are, literally as we speak, eliminating competition under the guise of "stopping bad guys" and our not realizing this is a failure on all of our parts.

We cannot let them temper our ridding ourselves of the Banksters control. We've fallen for the "we're from the government and we're here to help" gimmick for far too long.
