I'm sure there was some strategic value for allowing it to happen, but at this point I don't see why Trump keeps doubling down on the "2MIL would have died". That just keeps perpetuating the lie that this virus is airborne and capable of killing anyone at anytime. The facts just don't support that. As a result, you've got all these idiots walking around with masks on, and you've got idiots justifying the various shutdowns and restrictions on small businesses. "It's saving lives!" They scream. Fuck that. It's all bullshit. This is nothing but a hyped up flu virus and it should be exposed as such now.
