Anons, I have an issue maybe you folks can help with.

QRD: I'm moving from the swamp to somewhere better.

The problem is that I overloaded my house with 'stuff'.

I've packed for weeks and it seems there's so much still left to pack.

I can't start working on the house (to sell) until I get much more packed/moved to storage. Too much debris.

You don't want to bring dirt/debris with you, and you don't want to have to clean every item prior to packing it.

There's a lot of random stuff.

I think a professional moving company would be much better/faster than what I'm doing.

What advice/resources would you give me to help make this easier?

This is a big move, and time is a factor.

I was thinking about just hiring a moving company, but they charge so much. We're moving to a completely different part of the country.

Help me out, please. I'm not sure what to do, and I'm working on my 2nd storage unit. I can fill that bastard up, too. And I need to.

Money's not the problem, organization is. The real problem is that I don't exactly know how to pack random stuff to get it out- I am having a hard time deciding what to keep around until we leave and what to actually get out.

Frustrated.

tytyty

What it feels like is that I need all the stuff that still remains unpacked.

I should probably pull the plug on things like TVs, computers, cleaning products, dishes etc so it pushes the move forward.

Good advice ty

That's one thing I haven't done yet.

Call me a hoarder, but I like my stuff, I want my stuff, I have the things I want.

Maybe I should let go of some of these things.

It's like tools, electronics, dishes, cleaning supplies, pet stuff, exercise stuff, clothes etc

It's not 'too much', it's that we outgrew the house/neighborhood.

I feel like it's all necessary things that are left.

I'll try filling up some donation bins/bags/boxes.

Every bit of momentum counts, thanks

LOL Stop being a hoarder, hoarder! heard.

I don't think I am!!! -but maybe I am, I just didn't notice.

It's not clutter- it's just … stuff.

For instance. I won't pack my guns till the last day. Why? Look around you.

But that includes all the stuff I have to clean them, accessories etc.

I can't pack cleaning supplies so I can clean.

I can't pack lamps so I can see.

Need the router for internet.

Need the pet supplies so pets don't die or go nuts.

It's hard to prioritize.

Wish I wasn't in the city(ish) so I'd have access to truck stops (etc).

Soon.

Thanks, fren

This is likely the real solution.

Get pros in because I seem to care too much about trivial day-to-day shit.

They'll take the stuff out faster because they don't give a damn what I need.

Friend told me yesterday: "Do you want to move? Then move. Otherwise stay."

Both of you are on point.

It's not that expensive in the long run.

LOL (loop of the stormy porn collection)

No slide intended.

But irl friends are limited, and social media is retarded.

I appreciate you caring about both the bread and my bullshit.

After hearing the tips from all of you, I think I know what I need to do.

Stop caring, and get moving.
