ROBERT STEELE: These “intelligent idiots” as Nassim Nicholas Taleb likes to label those with credentials lacking in integrity, are not stupid — they are simply corrupt. I am reminded of earlier statements by editors of this journal to the effect that half of their articles are written by the pharmaceutical industry and then signs by paid doctors and others.
