US Marshals rescue 11 missing runaway children in New Orleans; 2 boys were in 'extreme danger'

Authorities believe that one missing child was involved in illegal gang activity

In "Operation Summer Rescue 2020," the U.S. Marshals Service focused on tracking down missing runaway children originally from New Orleans. During the two-month operation funded by the agency's Missing Child Unit, U.S. Marshals rescued 11 endangered children, including two boys who were reportedly in extreme danger.

Of the 11 children located, one of them was a 16-year-old boy was found in New Orleans. Authorities believe that the teen was involved in illegal gang activity, including the possession of firearms.

U.S. Marshals tracked down a missing 13-year-old girl, who was found in Nashville, Tennessee. The recovery of the girl included the assistance of the U.S. Marshals Service of Middle District Tennessee Task Force, Metro Nashville Police Department, and the FBI New Orleans Field Office, according to the U.S. Marshals press release.

Operation Summer Rescue 2020, which took place between Aug. 1 through Sept. 30, also made several arrests during the rescues. An adult male was arrested for aggravated statutory rape.

A mother wanted on a first-degree murder warrant out of Mississippi was apprehended. She allegedly murdered her 11-year-old son at a hotel in Laurel, Mississippi. U.S. Marshals recovered her two other sons, ages 6 and 9, who were considered to be in "extreme danger" and an Amber Alert had been issued to locate them.

"This is a very important mission that the USMS has been tasked by Congress to oversee, as the safety of children across the country is paramount to this nation's future," said U.S. Marshal for the Eastern District of Louisiana Scott Illing. "While 11 recoveries may not seem high, this work, which is time consuming, was accomplished while also running our normal day-to-day violent felony offender investigations and sex offender fugitive operations in the district, along with our other judicial missions."

In the past month and a half, the U.S. Marshals Service has rescued nearly 100 missing and endangered children.

Last week, U.S. Marshals reported that they had rescued 35 missing children during "Operation Safety Net" in Ohio.

Nassau County: Hundreds Received Wrong Absentee Ballot Envelopes

Hundreds of ballots were mailed to Nassau County voters with the wrong oath envelope in what is being blamed on a “printing error” by a vendor.

News 12 Long Island reports:

Voters in Nassau County are being asked to double check their absentee ballots after the error was discovered, where 781 ballots were mailed to voters with the incorrect oath envelope inside. […] Nassau elections officials say they are reaching out to voters that have been sent the wrong oath envelope.

The report comes after the New York City Board of Elections admitted that nearly 100,000 Brooklyn voters received absentee ballot return envelopes with the wrong address and names printed on them. NYC Board of Elections spokeswoman Valerie Vazquez-Diaz told CNN that a third-party vendor, Phoenix Graphics, was to blame for the error.

In the meantime, New York City has asked the vendor to remail fresh ballots “to make certain that absolutely no disenfranchisement occurs in the borough of Brooklyn,” according to the election board’s executive director Michael Ryan. Phoenix Graphics has yet to comment on the matter.

However, senior staffers of Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s office are reportedly seeking to block the elections board from resending ballots. “The governor wants to take a different approach,” said Doug Kellner, who serves as co-chairman of New York state’s Board of Elections. “You’ve got to talk to the governor’s office.”

President Donald Trump, who frequently warns about the possibility of voter fraud connected to voting by mail, took to social media this week to highlight the Big Apple’s ballot issue.

Pennsylvania Union Bosses Struggling to Convince Members to Vote Against Donald Trump

Union bosses in the swing state of Pennsylvania admit they are struggling to convince their rank-and-file members to vote against President Donald Trump in the upcoming presidential election.

As Democrat presidential candidate Joe Biden visited Pennsylvania this week, local reports indicate union bosses are having a difficult time convincing their members to vote against Trump this election cycle.

The Pittsburgh Tribune-Review reports:

Union officials conceded they are concerned about whether the rank-and-file will honor those endorsements.

Likewise, union officials are asking members to put their employment ahead of other concerns they may have about the Biden-Harris ticket and fears they might support limits on gun rights.

“Like Trump said (Tuesday) night: The president has done more for America in 47 months than Biden has in 47 years,” said [Rep. Guy] Reschenthaler [R-PA], who represents Pennsylvania’s 14th Congressional District spanning Fayette, Greene, and Washington counties and parts of Westmoreland County. “At the end of the day, the rank-and-file workers will still overwhelmingly vote for President Trump.”

Biden, for years, has claimed to support the interest of America’s union workers. His record, dating back to the 1990s, has consistently been at odds with those interests, however.

In 1993 and the early 2000s, Biden vowed support for the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA), China’s entering the World Trade Organization (WTO), and normalizing United States trade relations with China. The measures resulted in the U.S. losing five million manufacturing jobs and at least 50,000 manufacturing plants, destabilizing communities and putting downward pressure on wages.

Biden, as vice president, also lobbied for the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) free trade agreement which would have forced American workers to compete for jobs against workers in Vietnam and Malaysia who are paid cents for an hour’s worth of work.

In a recent interview with the New York Times, Biden’s senior economic adviser said he is focused on implementing a “new approach to globalization” of the U.S. economy.

Wall Street’s giant donations to Biden this election cycle may also be a red flag for union workers. The latest CNN analysis admitted that “all the big banks” are backing Biden’s candidacy against Trump, largely because of their opposition to the president’s tariffs on China and tightening of the labor market to force up wages for American workers.

In 2016, Trump won Pennsylvania by fewer than 45,000 votes.

GOP Operatives Jack Burkman & Jacob Wohl Charged in Alleged Robocall Voter Suppression Scheme

DETROIT – Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel has filed charges today against two GOP operatives for allegedly orchestrating a series of robocalls aimed at suppressing the vote in the November general election.

Jack Burkman, 54, and Jacob Wohl, 22, are each charged with:

– One count of election law – intimidating voters, a five-year felony;

-One count of conspiracy to commit an election law violation, a five-year felony;

– One count of using a computer to commit the crime of election law – intimidating voters, a seven-year felony; and

– Using a computer to commit the crime of conspiracy, a seven-year felony.

Burkman, an Arlington, Virginia resident, and Wohl, a Los Angeles, California resident, allegedly attempted to discourage voters from participating in the general election by creating and funding a robocall targeted at certain urban areas, including Detroit. The calls were made in late August and went out to nearly 12,000 residents with phone numbers from the 313 area code.

During its investigation, Nessel’s office communicated with attorneys general offices in New York, Pennsylvania, Ohio and Illinois, all of which reported similar robocalls being made to residents in their states who live in urban areas with significant minority populations. It’s believed around 85,000 calls were made nationally, though an exact breakdown of the numbers of calls to each city or state are not available.

“Any effort to interfere with, intimidate or intentionally mislead Michigan voters will be met with swift and severe consequences,” Nessel said. “This effort specifically targeted minority voters in an attempt to deter them from voting in the November election. We’re all well aware of the frustrations caused by the millions of nuisance robocalls flooding our cell phones and landlines each day, but this particular message poses grave consequences for our democracy and the principles upon which it was built. Michigan voters are entitled to a full, free and fair election in November and my office will not hesitate to pursue those who jeopardize that.”

“I have zero tolerance for anyone who would seek to deceive citizens about their right to vote,” Benson said. “I am grateful to the Attorney General for her swift and thorough investigation, putting anyone else who would seek to undermine citizens’ fundamental rights on notice that we will use every tool at our disposal to dispel false rhetoric and seek justice on behalf of every voter who is targeted and harmed by any attempt to suppress their vote.”

The recorded robocall message warns people about being “finessed into giving your private information to the man” and urges them to “beware of vote by mail.”

HS Latin Teacher Charged with Committing Sex Crimes with Student at School

FORT WASHINGTON, Pennsylvania — Montgomery County District Attorney Kevin R. Steele and Whitemarsh Township Police Chief Christopher P. Ward announce the arrest of Michael Cheatle, 37, of Chester Springs, Pa., on charges of Institutional Sexual Assault, Unlawful Contact With a Minor/Sexual Offenses, Corruption of a Minor and Endangering the Welfare of a Child related to a sexual relationship with a female student at Germantown Academy, where the defendant was employed as a teacher at the time while is wife was also pregnant.

On July 29, 2020, a woman reported to Whitemarsh Township Police that in 2014 at the end of her 11th grade year at Germantown Academy in Ft. Washington, she and her first-year teacher Cheatle began an 18-month intimate relationship. An investigation was launched that determined through text messages, emails and other evidence that the defendant had engaged in sexual behavior with the minor student both inside and outside of Germantown Academy. Further, the victim identified Cheatle by describing his stomach tattoos.

CBS Philly reported: Text messages that date back to June 2019 show the two talking about what happened. Cheatle says, “I am totally to blame, as I was the adult in the situation. Horribly, I came to view you as an adult when I should not have. I may have inadvertently used our relationship to fill some kind of hole in my lonely sad life. I’m becoming a better man everyday. I struggle with what happened between us, I struggle with other issues in my life.”

The victim expressed her hurt.

“You announced, in a room full of my high school friends, that your wife was pregnant, as though we weren’t engaging in an emotionally, and physically, intimate relationship, and with complete disregard for the fact that that would break me,” she said.

Voter Fraud Claims Add To Election Fever

There have been a flurry of articles about ballot fraud in the run up to the November elections, including several tweets by President Donald Trump on the matter. But what is the evidence for the tampering with or binning of voting slips and how widespread might it be?

An explosive video featured on Fox News’ Hannity show by James O’Keefe appeared to show the purchase of a ballot from a Somali man living in Minnesota. The secretly filmed footage goes on to show several Somalis making allegations related to the scheme, with one former “co-worker” of Ilhan Omar claiming that the Representative for Minnesota’s 5th congressional district was directly involved in the fraud.

“Nobody would say that Ilhan Omar isn’t part of this,” said Omar Jamal, chairman of the Somali Watchdog Group. “Unless you’re from a different planet, but if you live in this universe, I think everybody knows it.”

“Your focus is winning. No matter what you do, you ignore the rules and regulations,” Jamal told Project Veritas. “There’s no moral and ethics here. It’s just, the end will justify the means.”

Jamal claims that Ali Isse Gainey, a staffer for Omar, oversees the vote-buying scheme on the ground, where operatives will accompany Somali residents to the voting booth and do the actual voting for the person.

The millions of dollars being spent on influencing the immigrant vote — which could number 100,000 people — is, according to Jamal, designed to sway the vote enough to make a difference for the Democrat politician. “The techniques that he [Ali Isse] uses to exchange money for votes — that’s not a secret. Everybody knows about it. $200, $300 per ballot received,” he said.

Another source on the video says: “She’s [Ilhan Omar] the one who came up with all this [pay-for-vote].”

Minneapolis Police announced earlier this week that they would be investigating the “vote harvesting” claims made against supporters of Rep Ilham Omar. In a tweet late on Monday, they said: “The MPD is aware of the allegations of vote harvesting. We are in the process of looking into the validity of those statements. No further information is available at this time on this.”

President Trump tweeted the Project Veritas video, with the words: “Rigged Election!” He earlier tweeted: “This is totally illegal. Hope that the U.S. Attorney in Minnesota has this, and other of her many misdeeds, under serious review??? If not, why not??? We will win Minnesota because of her, and law enforcement. Saved Minneapolis & Iron O Range!”

Ilhan Omar Lashes Out at Project Veritas in Response to Bombshell Ballot Harvesting Videos, “These People Are Disgusting”

Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) on Thursday responded to bombshell ballot harvesting videos released by Project Veritas.

In case you missed it, James O’Keefe released undercover videos showing an Ilhan Omar-connected harvester SEEN exchanging $200 for each General Election ballot. “We don’t care illegal.”…”We are taking the money and we’ll vote for you” “Ilhan Omar is the one who came up with all this.”

This is by far some of O’Keefe’s best work yet.

MSNBC labeled Project Veritas a “conspiracy theory silo” when teeing up Ilhan Omar with a softball question about the ballot harvesting videos.

“These people are disgusting,” Omar said lashing out at O’Keefe, Trump, and the conservative media for daring to report on the evidence of her campaign’s ballots-for-cash scheme.

Of course MSNBC covered for her as she played the ‘Somali refugee’ victim card and called the conservative media a bunch of conspiracy theorists.
