What if we had an 'American Voter Congress for Presidential Debates' that was a non-profit entity under the General Services Administration and we put another Federal Position on the ballot for Americans to vote for and that is 'State Representative to Voter Congress for Presidential Debates'. 50 States 100 positions, 2 from each State. Their job is to work with the other delegates to produce a schedule and agreements for Pres/VP debates to the GSA that is completely apart from the Parties or Candidates. The delegates have total control over the format, questions, audience, moderator (or lack thereof) and who gets access broadcast rights (media)

100 Americans elected by their States by popular vote every 4 years with a 1 term limit. That's how to get the debates organized. And the candidates? No involvement whatsoever. They just show up.
