I'm thinking the recent developments regarding DJT, like his less than stellar performance at the debate and his supposed covid infection, are designed to portray him as more of an underdog in the lead-up to the election. This manufactured narrative has been put in place so that people don't get too complacent and actually get of their asses and vote.
