TIJUANA BC OCTOBER 1, 2020 (AFN) .- The body of Édgar Flores Santos, an employee of the United States Consulate in Tijuana, was found this Thursday afternoon in the vicinity of Rancho de las Uvas, in the Presa Rural delegation.
There are two detainees suspected in his disappearance and murder, however, no authority or diplomatic representation offers more information. It is also indicated that drugs were apparently found on the suspects
This afternoon, the Municipal Security and Citizen Protection Secretariat (SSPCM) announced that agents of that corporation located the corpse of who was part of the work team of the Department of Agriculture for the Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service of the States Unidos, who was reported missing since yesterday.
The discovery of the body occurred approximately one kilometer from the known as Rancho de las Uvas, after a police deployment of the three orders of government that began at 7:00 p.m. yesterday, when the vehicle of the deceased today was located, in the surroundings of Maclovio Rojas.
Bloodstains and traces of skin were found in the unit of the supervisor at the Consulate.
The United States Consulate in Tijuana issued a statement in which it states the following: "The community of the United States Consulate General in Tijuana deeply regrets the reports of the death of a local employee, a member of the Department of Agriculture of the Plant and Animal Health Inspection Service (APHIS) of the Tijuana office.
While we await official identification, we continue to work with local authorities on the ongoing investigation. Out of respect for the family, we have no further comment.
