For some reason New Zealand media really cares about the US elections. This one is a poll "Will Donald Trump's COVID-19 infection hurt his re-election chances?"

Currently 55% yes.

Apart from that, it was impressively quick mental arithmetic; you could tell he worked that out on the spot to coincide with the number years Biden had been in office.

Whichever, it was mightily impressive and kekworthy.

You don't need the book to get the results. Orwell was more or less documenting the shape of things to come (funnily enough the title of another book by H G Wells who came to a similar conclusion).

What I get from it, in a nutshell, is that the more you gear an economy toward war mongering, the more authoritarian and censorious is has to be.

War, yes, might by necessary, but war economy is not a good thing to aspire to.

A major tactical error on their part I think. What were they hoping to accomplish? More eyes on Q?

Acknowledged the existence of Q?? Really strange, along with the number of Republican nays.
