DENVER (KDVR) —Governor Jared Polis said Colorado has seen an uptick in COVID-19 cases in nine of the past 14 days and growth in hospitalizations for 11 of the past 14 days.

“Colorado needs to bear down,” he said.

Polis then expressed that he thinks we are past the halfway point in this pandemic citing advances in vaccine development and the participation of many Coloradans in the phase 3 trials.

“No amount of testing will prevent the need for the safety measures we need to take for the next few weeks and months to get through this,” Polis said.
