Could the Rose Garden ceremony be the source of POTUS infection? Was it an assassination attempt? Good review of situation & relevant clinical facts. would also explain POTUS recent mention of "staying safe & seeing no-one" & recovering at the White House.

Agree it is a concern. There were always rumors of multiple strains of the virus with some more virulent than others. There was a claim that a virulent version was used to infect Boris Johnson and to possibly target POTUS months ago but never could find good evidence for any of it.

Weather conditions in the Rose Garden at the time (temp, wind speed and direction etc) could be helpful if following this approach.

• Ronna McDaniel, the chairwoman of the Republican National Committee, has also tested positive. The RNC says McDaniel has been home in Michigan for the past week.
