Symone Sanders, senior campaign adviser for Joe Biden, has said the former vice president will be at the second debate on October 15, and she is “hoping” President Donald Trump can join him, despite having Covid-19.

Asked by CNN host Jake Tapper whether Trump getting clearance from his physicians to attend the upcoming debate in Miami, Florida would be enough for Biden to feel safe enough to go as well, Sanders said the campaign is “looking forward” to the debate and the former vice president will be there – even if Trump isn’t.

“We are hoping that President Trump can participate. We’re hoping he’s medically able to participate,” she said. “You know, that’s up to his doctors to clear him, but Joe Biden will be at that debate.”

Anti-government protesters in Belarusian capital Minsk fought back and apparently broke a water cannon which had been deployed to disperse them, as it was filmed spraying water vertically into the air.

Footage emerging from the Belarusian capital shows a massive fountain gushing out of a speeding blue armored truck. The torrent of water was directed vertically into the air, instead of being aimed at the demonstrators, who had once again come out onto the streets to demand the resignation of longtime President Alexander Lukashenko.

System is broken beyond belief’: UK to deny asylum to migrants who enter country through ‘illegal routes,’ home secretary says

The UK will turn away migrants who pay for passage to the country or are deemed ineligible for claiming asylum status, Home Secretary Priti Patel has announced as part of an initiative aimed at cracking down on illegal immigration

In an interview with the Sunday Times, Patel revealed that the government would soon be introducing a two-tier system in which migrants are denied entry if they hire criminal gangs to smuggle them to Britain’s shores, or if they are considered ineligible to qualify as an asylum seeker.

Patel described the country’s asylum system as “broken beyond belief” and argued that those who pay traffickers to ferry them to the UK are doing a disservice to genuine refugees. She said that it “isn’t right” that asylum seekers are all treated the same in the UK, regardless of how they enter the country.
