Bakers are in a position which can be used as a gatekeeping function, controlling what reaches notables by their own agenda. If that agenda is not to work for truth-spreading, then we have an infiltration problem. If they delete notables after the fact, it's even worse.
Would be interesting to have Q comment on this situation. Authoritarianism is what we are fighting against here.
I don't know which baker has a truth-agenda and which one does not, so not a hit on the current baker, but the situation is clearly being organised in a way that is not beneficial for the purpose of the board itself.
