Governor DeSantis’ roundtable experts advocate for “normal” life for young people

This engaging discussion about all things COVID is what’s missing in today’s MSM. The people need open and free dialogue about these issues, not spoon fed misinformation from so called experts that defy common sense. .

I'm so grateful to be living in Florida with a Governor who is not only highly intelligent, but who also has the balls to implement rational health policies for Florida based on common sense and bolstered by real science and experts.

Please share this important video clip with family and friends. The whole round table can be viewed here:

Irrational gov COVID policies are like DARE education in public schools

After watching this, I was reminded of the many government policies funded for decades but should have been terminated long ago because the empirical evidence shows that they actually create the problems they were supposed to stop. A great example is the DARE program in public schools. Just using common sense can show how this program is flawed. For example, it is self evident that peer pressure (conformity) on young people at school is a huge problem that goes well beyond illicit drug use. A far better approach would be to empower our young to base their decisions on good principles as individuals as opposed to just following the crowd. But, the acronym for drug abuse resistance education is DARE, which is basically a police officer saying to kids in a class room, “this is marijuana, it’s very dangerous and illegal, so I “dare” you to use it, because if I catch you, you are going to jail.” It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to predict that doing this to young people will increase their curiosity and the future probability that they will try it as teens. And this is exactly what the science has shown for decades! But, the government still funds it anyway because to end it “would send the wrong message.” This kind of irrational behavior is based on a kind of religious faith in the worship of big government as god. It’s not evidence based science.
