Parents need to take those laptops as soon a the classes are done and put tape on the camera and the store them in the microwave, storing them in there renders the microphone on them useless for their spying on the families.

I did understand that point as well anon, there has been a blantant attempt for years going to remove parents participation from the education process, common core is one example, there are other examples such as making teachers do policing over children in creating divide in asking children private questions about their families. When this distance learning started many schools forbid parents from being anywhere in the room while hooked in to classes. There are quite a few articles out there of parents discovering those laptops that are school property have been used to spy on entire households as well. These laptops have specific programs downloaded on them, which would create exactly the scenario you are describing. Frankly it's all quite disgusting. Usually if a parent wanted to observe a their child's class they were allowed to, no appointment necessary, fail to see the distinction between the actual classroom and a computer screen.
