All I know for sure is that whatever Assange has takes it all down. It's the only way he could still be alive. He dies, everything is released upon his death. So they must be pretty fucking scared of what he has otherwise he would have just been dead a long time ago.
Why doesnt he release it now? I believe it's because what he has is really that bad. Releasing would unfortunately effect the normal population too much. So he's trying to get it done the right way, through the court of law. But if anything goes wrong, and we fail. That information is just released to the public and we deal with the consequences of that as a society, as it's still better than letting them get away with it.
